Position: Intern - Policy Research and Eco-Certification Development

Location: Singapore Environment Council (SEC)

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive research on environmental policies, regulations, and best practices related to sustainability, with a focus on areas such as green procurement and eco-labelling.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering & Business Development Intern, you will be responsible for designing and presenting customised engineering systems to the company’s prospective clients and ensuring deliverables of the system. You will be contributing to the Engineering team in the following key areas:

Engineering:

• Understand the process of microtunneling and pipe jacking, and its supporting equipment supply scope, such as the automatic bentonite lubrication system, slurry management system, gyro navigation and more.

• Understand customers’ project requirements and assist in designing and proposing suitable systems/solutions.

• Support the engineering team in providing technical information to potential clients.

• Support the engineering team in ensuring all deliverables of the system are achieved during and after setup.

Business Development:

• Source new products that will help to enhance our product offerings and value-add (e.g. chemicals, new equipment or parts for relevant industries).

• Research on relevant engineering systems/solutions across the world and present applicable solutions for construction projects in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Site Engineering Intern performs delegated tasks with the objective to take over more and more responsibilities and learn all required skills for his / her future job. The main purpose of this job is to gain experience of all aspects of a selected area.

Responsibilities

• Creates RAN/NetAct/MW Model Site solutions (visualization) according to guidance from Site Engineering Specialist in project pre-sales and delivery phase.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills including mastery of MS Tools (Power point, Excel, Visio, Word, Project) and Design 2D & 3D tools like AutoCAD, Bric CAD
• Ability to communicate effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
