ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Business Support Coordinator at ULD Logistics & Distribution Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible to execute and facilitate the daily operations of the company. You will be assisting to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective communication, negotiation, customer-oriented approach and distribution of goods to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

Warehousing 

• Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.
• Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished product.
• Implements daily production and shipping plan, arranging for excess stock to be stored in warehouse
• Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
• Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
• Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of the product.
• Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.

Operations 

• Responsible for day-to-day coordination, execution and tracking of sea import and export. Communicate with carriers, terminals, customs brokers, truckers and oversea agents.
• Ensure all shipment documentations are compliant with customs rules and regulations.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships and communication with customer, clients, carriers, forwarders, customs etc. and ensure an impeccable service.
• Complete customs clearances and ensure full compliance to any relevant regulations.

CUH is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join the Procurement Team to support as Distribution Assistants.

The Distribution Team are responsible for the correct and accurate delivery of orders to the corresponding location point. You will assist the distribution Team Leader and Procurement Goods-In Supervisor in providing an efficient delivery/collection service to all Clinical and Administrative areas of the hospital.

We are particularly interested in those candidates that have a B1 option on the driving licence as the role will involve some use of Luton vans and the use of electric motorised tugs, other powered and non-powered moving equipment. You will be required to take part in duties that require moderate to heavy manual handling activities that will include the pushing and pulling of heavy trolleys and cages throughout the working day.

This role is generally Monday - Friday, covering an 8:00 - 18:00 service however, we run a 24/7 service and you may be required to change times to suit the service needs and demands. You will be required to work around a Rota covering a range of three shift patterns.

Those interested only interested in a Bank position will also be considered.

This is a very important role within the Trust and you will be providing a key service to the Trust, so that the rest of the staff can continue to provide the patient care.

• This is very much a manual handling post with the daily moving of cages and larger, heavy items onto a flatbed for delivery. This is a very important role within the Trust and you will be providing a key service to the Trust, so that the rest of the staff can continue to provide the patient care.

Shift Pattern falls into the following:

Pattern 1 – 07:00 to 15:00 – Sunday to Thursday
Pattern 2 – 07:00 to 15:00 – Tuesday to Saturday

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS The post holder will report to the Procurement Team Leader and be accountable to the Associate Director, Commercial & Procurement. A close working relationship will be required with the technical staff in Pathology and Purchasing colleagues. External links will be required with external suppliers and distributors to the Trust. 12. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS i) Physical Effort: The post holder is required to have standard keyboard skills, and there is a need for speed and accuracy. The ability to use lifting and handling equipment, such as roll cages, trolleys and pallet lifters/trucks. Frequent requirement to exert moderate physical effort for several periods during the working day. Involves the movement of goods to various sites, using roll cages which can be excessively heavy, up to 200kgs and decanting packages and tote boxes etc, which can each weigh up to 40kgs. ii) Mental Effort: There is an occasional requirement for concentration where the work pattern is unpredictable. Occasional interruptions cause the post holder to change from one activity to another. Ability to evaluate situations quickly in order to provide advice to customers and offer guidance. A frequent need to meet deadlines on a daily basis to ensure receipting and delivery schedules are met. . iii) Emotional Effort: Dealing with aggressive and intimidating behaviour or diffusing potentially confrontational situations involving internal and external customers when the quality of service falls below their expectations.

In order for Royal Mail to run an efficient operation, the Assistant would be expected to carry out the following tasks:

• Enter all pay/subs/shift allowance on People System Portal or JoinedUp
• Responsible for agency staff including signing on sheets, overtime and leave
• Complete a monthly rota, maintain annual leave and pay files
• Record absence for various leave and conduct return to work interviews
• Maintain secure records of local personnel paperwork
