About the Job

The Salesforce Technical Support Officer will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers experiencing technical issues across our range of digital products. The officer will also be required to provide timely assistance and resolution, while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Provide technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to software that is used by internal and external customers. This includes:

· Respond, document, resolve or escalate incidents, change request or service tickets in a timely manner in accordance to established Service Level Agreements.

· Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a knowledge base that would comprise self-service resources for customers to resolve simple technical issues independently. This would include documentation of common issues and their resolutions.

· Support the various System Administrators with administrative activities, which could include user Onboarding/Offboarding, generating reports on user activities and database management activities such as data cleaning, uploading/patching.

· Any other ancillary tasks or works as and when requested and assigned by the Company.

Job Requirements:

· Diploma in Information Technology, or related field.

· Prior experience in technical support and usage of ticketing systems.

· Prior experience in Salesforce CRM.

· Demonstrated customer service mind-set and ability to engage multiple stakeholders.

· Resourceful, adaptive and able to work with minimal supervision. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to focus on priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment.

· Display sound judgement when making decisions and demonstrate initiative to take action.

· Strong interest in technology and with experience dealing with SaaS products.

· Internet-savvy and proficient in using MS Office, especially Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel.

We are looking for an individual who would like to join the Doctoral College on a fixed-term basis until December 2024 to support the doctoral training and development programme.

You will provide operational support to our doctoral training programme. We have over 80 unique workshops and activities, so we need someone who is confident, organised with an eye for detail so these sessions are well organised and can run smoothly.

In addition to the training programme, you will take responsibility for managing our doctoral events and will be involved in some programme delivery. We run networking events, induction sessions, competitions, as well as writing retreats. We’re looking for someone who is able to organise and deliver on many of these activities. Having supervisory experience will also help, as you’ll be responsible for managing staff associated with these events.

Working in a training and development role is exciting as new trends emerge all the time. You will need to be comfortable working in a changing landscape and confident in managing multiple pieces of work at once.

The Doctoral College provides support to all prospective and current doctoral students to enable them to join and thrive in our research community. This role will be located within the Doctoral Development Team which comprises of 2FTE roles, with some additional administrative support.

We provide a supportive working environment. Colleagues are currently working hybrid with some of their time at home and some time on campus.

For this role, there is an expectation that you will have to be on campus for approximately 2-3 working days per week. You will also be expected to be on campus for any planned events and activities.
