Location: Grimsby, North-East Lincolnshire
Hours: 4 Day Week - 39 hours, Monday to Thursday (7am to 5.15pm)
Salary: Salary negotiable dependant on experience

The role
Due to the increased demand for type approval / homologation requirements since Brexit and within the business, we are now looking for a trainee to join our Homologation department. Reporting to the Homologation Technical Engineer, you will play an active role in both the planning and execution of the certification process. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Main duties
Your responsibilities may include:
- Maintaining and auditing the Vehicle Approval Systems (Homologation Type Approval)
- Conducting legal evaluations of our motorhome designs
- Assisting with the engineering documentation necessary for reporting to authorities
- Ensuring product legality throughout its production lifetime
- Manage and maintain our ISO9001 (2015) accreditation
- Conducting research on these legal frameworks
- Establishing necessary processes and databases across the company
- Keeping various departments updated on homologation requirements
- Provide regulatory guidance and interpretation for product design compliance
- Liaising with regulatory authorities and government agencies
- To prepare and maintain all necessary compliance data and documentation
- Assisting with the delivery of the full range of type approvals for our vehicles
- Aiding with internal and external audits
About you
- Do you have an HNC/HND or a degree educated engineer
- Confident, highly motivated, and possess excellent written skills
- High level of accuracy & detail as precision is key in homologation processes
- Calm character in times of high demand
- Ability to identify and solve technical issues efficiently
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various departments and regulatory bodies
- Adapt to changing regulations and standards
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex technical data
- Work well in a team, as homologation often involves cross-departmental collaboration
- Be proactive anticipating potential compliance issues
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Resilient and determined, exhibiting strong commitment to seeing complex processes through to completion
