Supervise craft employees to ensure productivity, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project are met.
Assist project team in scheduling, developing, and implementing project Work Plans and procedures, working documents and standards to ensure project goals are achieved.
Interface with all on-site work teams (including subcontractors) as required, to resolve problems, ensure quality, safety, scheduling and achieving schedules in support of overall project objectives.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Work Experience
5+ years in construction management and/or craft supervision experience (i.e. Foreman) in civil construction.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); company policies, procedures and standards. Communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills required.
Excellent management skills

Reads survey stakes along highway right-of-way to determine grade specification for embankment.
Measures horizontally and vertically, in specified ratio, from survey stake to juncture of embankment and initial excavation, using survey rod and eye level.
Sets grade stakes, using hatchet, and chalk-marks excavation reference points on stake.
Repeats measuring and staking at specified intervals to form horizontal stakeline along embankment.
Observes excavating activities to verify conformance to stake references and notifies equipment operators or supervisor of deviations.
Education

General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Obtain all environmental permits necessary for the operation of quarries, sand and gravel, asphalt and other related operations to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with business unit personnel at multiple facilities including developing training programs to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Maintain an environmental compliance database which coordinates compliance reports to agencies or parties, coordinates monitoring to meet permit conditions, and brings all worksite facilities into compliance with environmental laws.
Maintain an Environmental Management System (EMS) which coordinates legal requirements and compliance tasks, establishes environmental objectives and targets, determines roles and responsibilities for environmental activities, and maintains a document and record system.
Identify and monitor environmentally significant issues and advise management on the appropriate action to help develop and maintain Granite’s reputation as an environmental leader.
Works closely with the location manager and senior staff to develop and implement a comprehensive and practical environmental strategy.
Solves technical problems and develop solutions to meet environmental requirements.
Builds and maintains excellent working relationships to enhance Granite’s reputation through highly professional interaction with the general public and public officials, including those with perspectives that are contrary to Granite’s objectives.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Work Experience
3-7 years related work experience preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Must have demonstrated decision making skills.
General understanding of federal, state and local laws, policies and procedures.
Experienced with scheduling, working with subcontractors, budgeting and cost control.
Ability to establish relationships with agencies and represent Granite in a public forum.
Strong public speaking and ability to communicate with management.
Strong technical writing skills necessary for preparation of inspection reports, memos and other documents requiring descriptions and summaries.
Ability to work with all levels of construction project crafts and management personnel to successfully coordinate and complete work requirements.

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction related safety environment, required.

Extensive knowledge of Fall Protection and Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) standards

Education

Pay Range: $19.00-$26.00 DOE
Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood structures, using hand tools and power tools, and conforming to industry standards.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Selects specified type of lumber or other materials
Prepares layout, using rule, framing square, and calipers
Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials, using pencil, chalk, and marking gage
Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, using saws, chisels, and planes
Assembles cut and shaped materials and fastens them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue
Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete
Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Work Experience
·Must have construction experience / heavy construction preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience required
Dam or other heavy structure experience highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Workers should be able to:
Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Apply shop mathematics to solve problems
Plan work and select proper tools
Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects
Picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams
Perform a variety of duties which may change often; and rate information using standards that can be measured or checked
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Work Safely by Choice
Physically, workers must be able to:
Climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders
Reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials
Lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds
Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and see well (either naturally or with correction).

General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Tunnel Boring Machine Field Engineering
Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, safety meetings and safety training
Assist in maintenance of project recordkeeping including daily reports, photographs, quality records
Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations
Geotechnical Monitoring & Instrumentation
Assist in field surveying and work layout support
Be flexible, willing to learn and ask questions!
Education
High School diploma required and current enrollment at an accredited institution of higher learning such as a college or university.
Field of Study
Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a closely related degree
Work Experience
Prior introduction or general understanding of plan/spec readings is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Interest in heavy civil/transportation construction; such as highways, airports, mass transit systems, canals, dams, tunnels, earthwork, structural concrete, pipeline, etc Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Office
Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivated
Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
Ability to access all areas of a construction site in all weather conditions. This can include walking up and down ladders and embankments
