General

Lead Maintenance Engineer (foot mobile or Van Mobile) - FM Service Provider - London - £43,000 plus Zones 1-6 travel card or Van & Fuel Card

Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service provider situated in London. CBW is currently recruiting for a Lead Engineer to be based across several commercial buildings (Landlord contract) on a foot mobile basis. The Lead Engineer's role is to act as a coordination point for the day-to-day activities on site as well as assist the Contract Manager with the day-to-day running of the building.

This is very much a hands-on role and the successful candidate will need to be electrically qualified with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. This is an ideal role for someone who is looking for a step up and aid in the training of new employees.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Must have plant room experience and experience working with AHUS, FCUs, Booster sets, Pumps and heating systems
- Responsible for field activities across a geographical portfolio of buildings
- Whilst at any time the Contract Manager is not on site due to sickness and holiday the Electrical Lead Engineer will step into the Contract Manager
- Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work
- Close liaison and working relationship with the Client/Tenants
- Carry out hands-on M&E/Fabric maintenance
- Ensure that daily tours are completed and repair or report any defects found via the Landlord/Tenant helpdesk
- Comply with both statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Control of specialist contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable
- Take responsibility for escalating critical incidents and producing and submitting incident reports within the prescribed timescales in conjunction with the Contract Manager
- An understanding of the following M&E systems; Building Management Systems and electrical monitoring, Control system, Air handling, conditioning and terminal units –Fan Coil Units and VAV Boxes, Domestic water services, Fire prevention and detection systems, Fire alarm and voice alarm, VESDA, Fire suppression, Sprinkler Systems, Emergency lighting.

An exciting opportunity to join an established building services company based in London has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting a Junior Maintenance Engineer either of an electrical, mechanical, or plumbing background, to be based in a commercial building in the City of London. He or she or they will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site. This person will be working closely with a senior member of the team and the team on-site to gain experience and training of building services.

The successful candidate will understand Facilities Maintenance and have some experience in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £38,000, overtime, plenty of further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 17:00 pm

Or

Continental Shift days and nights 07:00 am to 19:00 pm / 19:00 pm to 07:00 am

Key duties & Responsibilities

- Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
- Emergency lighting tests & Fire alarm tests
- Plant room maintenance
- Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
- Control Panels
- Changing Ballast
- BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
- Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
- Maintain and update Log books
- Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
- Pumps, motors

Requirements

- Electrically or mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 minimum
- Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Good communication skills
- Client Facing
