The post holder will become a specialist in this area of care, with knowledge of minor skin surgical procedures, skin cancer conditions, treatments, and further developments. The post holder will be able to work autonomously and be able to provide a high level of expert clinical management and care to patients within the speciality. They will act as a highly specialised role model for advanced practice, working closely with the multidisciplinary team and other key stakeholders. This will include analysis of symptoms, initiation of interventions i.e. IV cannulation and ordering of diagnostic tests and x-rays as required, then interpret and adjust treatment regimens as appropriate.
