The Enterprise Resiliency - Business Execution Group Manager is a senior level (Director) role within the group responsible for the execution of Citi’s enterprise-wide Resilience strategy. This role requires an in-depth and applied experience in leading programs at scale with demonstrated experience in process design and execution, regulatory and executive stakeholder relationship management, enterprise-wide change management, business continuity management and operational resilience implementation in the financial services industry.
This individual will be responsible for managing the business engagement and implementation of Enterprise Resiliency requirements for the U.S. Personal Banking (“USPB”) business sector. This individual will manage a team, work with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive how the company prepares for potential impact and drives resilience across all Critical Business Services and global processes holistically. They will be responsible for the development of business continuity strategy and the rollout of Operational Resilience frameworks in all jurisdictions impacting USPB with a focus on North America.
Excellent communication skills required to influence a wide range of audiences throughout the Enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Execute planning, testing, and delivering of Business Continuity and Operational Resilience requirements in support of USPB and jurisdictions where USPB operates.
- Establish and maintain strategic Business and Regional relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive Enterprise Resilience strategies to ensure resilient business services and processes.
- Understand and apply internal policies/procedures, global laws and regulations and industry best practices with respect to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Operational Resilience.
- Enhance traditional business continuity processes including Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Business Recovery Planning (BRP), Application/Technology Recovery Planning (TRP) to ensure simplification and alignment with the strategic plan of Enterprise Resilience overall.
- Partner with Business SMEs, to support the creation and rollout of Fusion Risk Management.
- Lead interactions with regulators, auditors, risk and control organizations, operational risk management, independent compliance risk management throughout the North American cluster.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- Work with regulatory bodies and build industry connections to stay abreast of best practices to influence and align with the evolving landscape.
Qualifications:
- Experience in operations, technology, business, functional and people management with emphasis on background in U.S. Personal Banking.
- Demonstrated experience in rolling out new and updated frameworks with business partners to meet Regulatory requirements.
- Experience in speaking to Regulators and providing clear, concise updates that align to broader Initiatives at Citi.
- Demonstrated leadership characteristics, and management experience, including but not limited to the ability to positively influence and motivate a group or individuals to maintain a positive work environment through change. Ability to serve as a role model.
- Unquestionable integrity and objectivity with the commitment to excellence and the ability to thrive in diverse environments and cultures.
- In-depth knowledge of operations, technology and business processes with a global financial services organization or other industry regulated by a federal government.
- Demonstrated knowledge of emerging threats, changes in processes/technology and how they impact recovery and resilience strategies.
- Experience creating close collaboration with business partners to foster a customer-centric design and development culture.
- Expert ability to analyze a complex set of data, to extract critical information to determine potential risk to the organization or company.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience.
