What is the opportunity?
The Senior Analyst, Credit Strategy and Portfolio Performance, is part of a growing and dynamic team in Enterprise Risk & Portfolio Management (ERPM) that supports Personal Segment of Bank of Montreal (the bank). The team protects the bank through sound risk management practices; acts as a strategic advisor to steer the bank towards value; focuses on innovative solutions to drive performance.
This role would be attractive for people who are keen on data driven decision making approach, and who are interested in making direct business/customer impact through analytical thinking.
What will you do?
Qualifications:
3-5 years of working experience in credit risk management, modelling or business analytics in the consumer lending industry.
University degree in an analytical discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research or similar fields.
Proven track record of growing business value with advanced analytics.
Ability to clearly articulate quantitative analyses to both sophisticated technical experts and diverse business partners.
Attention to detail and sensitivity to numbers.
A self-starter and team player.
Technical proficiency using data analytics tools: SAS, SQL, SAS EM, FICO Analytics Modeler or equivalent.
Experience using data visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire or equivalent.
In-depth knowledge of credit adjudication/credit life cycle/credit bureau/credit risk management & reporting is an asset.
In-depth product knowledge of Credit Card is an asset.
Knowledge in finance is an asset.
Market/Macroeconomy awareness.
Compensation and Benefits:
$54,500.00 - $101,500.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
