Business Analyst
Job Description Summary: The position is within ICG Technology, and we are seeking a Business Analyst with functional knowledge of Wholesale Lending. The candidate will work with various business, product, operational and technology teams in the development of the data model for Citi’s transformation program. The individual must have prior experience in one or more of the following business functions: origination, underwriting, credit risk, servicing, finance and risk reporting. The work will involve developing strategic state-of-the-art solution using agile methodologies, micro services and integration with many application/services within the ecosystem.

Citi Institutional Clients Group Operations and Technology (ICG O&T) develops innovative solutions and provide exceptional service to our clients in full partnership with our product teams. Institutional operations group is responsible for the management and execution of transactions for Markets, Credit Risk, Security Services, Information Services, Private Bank, Treasury and Trade Solutions and Operation Controls and reporting. Responsibilities:
- Build working relationships with Product and Technology stakeholders
- Participate in rationalizing solutions with stakeholders across business lines and functions
- Using the Agile framework, develop business requirements by conducting requirement gathering, analysis, specification, validation, and verification.
- Elicit business requirements using techniques such as brainstorming, domain analysis, scenario, user stories, viewpoints et.
- Perform data analysis and aid the model developments in assessing product and operational requirements are satisfied.
- Assist the data architects and modelers in developing data dictionaries, flow diagrams, data modeling, use cases to validate solutions
- Acquire an understanding of current state systems and processes, develop tactical steps for business continuity, and design a strategic end state.
- Identify data quality issues and business rules to strengthen governance and ownership of the target state architecture
- Conduct walk-through and review sessions, explain the solution with the use of tools and techniques such as use cases to various users and user groups
- Maintain a backlog of requests and facilitate prioritization
- Ensure end-to-end delivery of the solution, identify and address risks that may impact milestones and deliverables
- Assist senior management in planning and liaising to meet regulatory and compliance needs
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years in Business or Technical Analysis roles.
- 3+ years working in a client-facing leadership role in a transformation project
- Must have wholesale lending business acumen in one or more of the following areas: origination, underwriting, credit risk, loan servicing, regulatory reporting
- Ability to conduct data analysis using query tools.
- Highly proficient in MS Office, Visio and openness to learn new tools and techniques
- Understanding of data management and governance principles
- Self-started, detail-oriented, work independently, collaborate with associates, and have strong ownership to deliver on time
- Ability to carry out complex business scenario analysis, develop solutions, and influence decisions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with written and presentation capabilities
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Formal training in business analysis, agile methodologies
