Job Purpose: The EPD Admin Team Leader will work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues across the organisation, in relation to Education and Professional Development, to support and develop a workforce with the skills, knowledge and competence necessary to deliver safe, effective patient care and to enhance the quality of service delivery. This will include attending meetings and liaising with service leads and staff to ensure the EPD team are equip to design, implement, and evaluate training solutions to meet the organisational needs. The post holder will contribute to the Education & Professional Development strategy, in support of the Trusts objectives, specifically contributing to the annual Trust training needs analysis (TNA), mandatory and role essential training requirements and the management of the Oracle Learning Management System (OLMS). The post holder will provide day-to-day supervision and have line management responsibilities for junior members of the EPD admin team, escalating any ongoing/significant issues to the Education and Professional Development Lead. Duties and Responsibilities: Management of the Education and Professional Development Admin Support Team, including PPDR processes, sickness and absence management and any other HR processes required, planning rotas as required and allocation of duties to ensure smooth delivery of the EPD agenda. Provide expert advice and input to the development of programmes of work designed to help deliver the Trust objectives and support the Education and Professional Development strategy. Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure the correct level of training requirements are allocated to the correct staff across the trust by group or position level. Work with subject matter experts (SMEs), operational managers and teams to support and maintain mandatory training compliance. Maintain strict confidentiality and information governance at all times and practice effective communication skills of listening, negotiation, persuasion, empathy and understanding. Provide expert advice and contribute to performance reporting and planning activities for relevant subjects as well as delivering and maintaining robust systems for reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of EPD processes to ensure the effective and efficient planning, management, recording and reporting of training activity across the Trust. Oversee and support the management and facilitation of training venue facilities across the Trust for internal trainers, external training providers and subject matter experts to support effective delivery of training as required. Take personal responsibility for the quality of the service provided and be able to make decisions independently that support and contribute to service delivery and improvement within the boundaries of the EPD Team Leader role. Responsibility for completion of IR1 forms as and when necessary Lead on the management and delivery of the annual training needs analysis, working collaboratively with subject matter experts, senior managers and colleagues across divisions to ensure allocation of training requirements are set correctly and trouble shoot for any issues which may occur. Oversee the management of the OLM System, ensuring that it is working effectively, the data input is current, the structure set correctly, and trouble shoot for any problems which may occur. To support and oversee regular data cleansing activities to the OLMS. Work collaboratively with Workforce, Transactional Services and Data and Information Warehouse Services to establish processes to support shared goals and that will ensure all data passed through OLM to ESR is relevant, current, readily available, and accurate. Work with data providers throughout the Trust to ensure all data required for regular reports is received in a timely and appropriate manner compliant with relevant data legislation and Information Governance. Manage and maintain the library of procedures and protocols used in the administration of the EDP service. Support and provide input with the development and management of policies directly relating to Education and Professional Development. Manage and maintain the library of procedures, protocols and information documents developed and shared on the EPD Hub Intranet page for staff use including how to guides, information and training matrix documents, SOPs and any other. Audit the success of eLearning activity and its impact on service delivery. Advise on policies outside direct area of responsibility and recommend the training required for successful implementation e.g. recruitment and selection, equal opportunities. Provide expert support and advice for learners in the education and development process. Lead on and support the development of online learning packages as required. Represent the EPD service at meetings as required. Work collaboratively with the Leadership & Organisation Development Team to support ongoing development and delivery of the Trust Corporate Induction package Take responsibility for own Personal Development Plan, in partnership with the EPD Lead, and comply with all mandatory and role essential training requirements required for the role. Commit to continuing self-development in relation to the role. Develop and deliver marketing plan for EPD activities and information to be widely disseminated and promoted for all staff working across the Trust.
