MPLOY is looking for a part time & permanent Accounts Assistant to join a brand-new client in Poundbury, Dorset.
Why should you be interested? Our client is offering:
- an offered salary ranging between £22,880 to £26,000 per annum/pro-rata subject to experience. Expect a take home figure ranging from £14,300 to £16,250 per annum - £11 to £12.50 per hour.
- a family & school friendly working pattern of Monday to Friday with working hours of 0900hrs to 1430hrs daily. Our client is offering a 25 hour per week contract with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break daily. Our client is flexible in relation to hours worked.
- fully funded training with The Association of Accounting Technicians. Our client is more than happy to support with funding any of the L2, L3 or L4 AAT courses, subject to a training agreement.

- has experience working within an accounts/finance practice or industry setting. Don’t have this? Don’t worry, our client is also open to candidates that really want to make the transition into the accountancy field.
- likes diverse work. In post you can expect to: process, code & post purchase/sales invoices/orders, deliver a fortnightly payment run accurately whilst adjusting relevant ledgers, handle & count large amounts of petty cash, process credit card payments, control credit & chase debtors, help prepare monthly management accounts, manage purchase & sales ledgers, assist with cash flow planning, reconcile monthly company bank accounts/statements, assist with third parties & internal stakeholder queries, populate new supplier & member details, regularly audit posted invoices & undertake other accounts functions/administrative tasks as required…diverse eh?
- is a team player with fantastic interpersonal/soft skills.
- is highly literate & numerate with an exact attention to detail/high degree of accuracy.
- is system savvy. You’ll be conversant with the Microsoft Office package, have intermediate MS Excel skills and a knowledge of Xero accounting software (or equivalent) is highly desirable to our client.
- is an innovative, dynamic & highly organised person.
- can think outside the box and is solution focused.
