Ensures that funds are properly valued and accounted for via accurate measurement of securities prices and/or positions.

- Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Prepare valuation models for private companies as required.
- Prepare and present support for monthly valuation meetings as required.
- Prepare valuation models for alternatives investments such as forwards, options, loans, short selling, borrowing or derivatives for oversight purposes.
- Prepare valuation models for alternatives investments such as long/short, blended strategies for oversight purposes.
- Prepare valuation models for alternatives investments across public and private markets.
- Assists with implementation of new clients and special projects
- Assists with system testing for any changes.
- Reviews and processes transactions related to dividends, interest, corporate actions and trades instructed by traders/portfolio managers.
- Assists in the preparation of audit reports, and financial statements.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and ensures alignment.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically, between 2 - 4 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting/valuation of alternatives products and complex securities.
- Growing understanding of the derivatives markets and strategies
- Excellent excel skills to handle large amounts of information and create reports.
- Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
