What to expect

As the Senior Executive / Assistant Key Account Manager for the Sales team, you will be in charge of managing Mandom’s retail channels.

You will play a key role in helping to accelerate sales revenue by establishing close working relationships with the business partners of the account you are in charge of. At the same time, you will also have the opportunity to better understand the internal workings of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.

You will be in charge of

Develop and execute sales plan, identify new business opportunities

· Develop, plan and execute sales plans and annual business plans to achieve sales targets

· Analyse and review sales results to evaluate ROI, effectiveness and execution of sales activities

· Present sales proposal to buyers

· Evaluate sales channel performances against sales target

· Conduct market profiling to identify potential market segments and consumer profiles

· Identify new business opportunities and conceptualise appropriate sales strategy

Operations

· Creation and submission of new product listing, promotion or other relevant forms to retailers when required

· Manage, execute and evaluate trade promotional activities

· Work with merchandisers to ensure seamless in-store execution and product visibility

Manage trade partners relationships

· Develop insights from buyer's feedback and market sentiments to enhance sales performance

· Develop and strengthen relationship with trade partners

· Conduct periodic business reviews with trade partners of designated accounts

· Negotiate with trade partners to match our company objectives with their needs, strategies and opportunities

· Understand retailers’ operational issues and propose solutions

Budget & Inventory management

· Working closely with the Sales Planning team on weekly/monthly sales forecast for designated accounts

· Manage Sales & Advertising and Promotion (A&P) budgets to ensure that promotional expenses are kept within budget

· Manage customers' orders and maintain good relationship with logistics partners

· Manage selected distribution channels sales performance

· Manage inventory level for assigned brands to ensure low returns

People management

· Supervise and mentor the merchandising team and Beauty advisors, to ensure all in-store activities are rolled out in a timely manner

Who we are looking for

· Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree holders with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the FMCG industry working in a similar capacity

· At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a supervisory role (For Assistant Key Account Manager)

· Relevant experience in negotiation with trade partners and understanding of consumer channels

· Tenacity in achieving sales targets

· Strong analytical skills and ability to identify new opportunities for growth

About the role :

Experience of team leading would be beneficial. You will have a good understanding of P&C business and all the London market processes or have a willingness to learn fast. Ideally, you will be Cert CII qualified or progression towards. You will be confident obtaining information from clients and Underwriters via telephone & e-mail and will have the ability to build good relationships with both Clients and Underwriters/Insurers. You will have communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as good organisational ability. It is essential that you have experience working within a London market Brokers, ideally within Wholesale or in Retail, but would cross train into Wholesale, and knowledge of preparing MRC slips and broker policies would be advantageous.
