The Role B&FC are welcoming applications for a full time Senior Tutor in Engineering.
You will contribute to achieving excellence in teaching, learning and assessment through innovative and excellent practice, driving our continued success in providing a high quality teaching and learning experience to ensure student success.
You will be responsible for contributing significantly to the quality assurance and quality improvement of teaching, learning and assessment in Engineering.
You will assist in the development and delivery of the managed learning of students. The ideal candidate will possess a subject specialism in Pedagogy, Education.
The Engineering department at Blackpool and the Fylde college is growing, with over 100 people directly involved in the delivery of education, we are focused on providing an excellent educational experience for all our students and apprentices. We are very pleased to be growing our team of Senior Tutors to include a greater focus on the quality of education we provide. The Senior Tutor Learning, Teaching, and Assessment will join an existing team of three other Senior Tutors and help us to deliver high quality education across the area. Previous experience in engineering is not required, what we are looking for is someone who is passionate about pedagogy, excited about learning, and focused on supporting colleagues to deliver the highest standard of education to our learners. This role will require an ability to deliver training sessions to other educators, support people through mentoring, devise training plans and see them implemented, support with our growing delivery of education online, and demonstrate and support with effective use of virtual learning environments. A proven track record of delivering high quality education in either FE, HE or Apprenticeships is essential. Currently holding, or being willing to work towards, a Post Graduate Diploma or Masters in Education will be a requirement of the role.
