We are currently seeking an interim Quality Control Analyst (Scientific), to work with our global FMCG client , renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral - easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying between £36,577 per annum.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

The quality analyst is responsible for routine quality control of raw, intermediate and finished products. The analyst also ensures that any problems or issues are communicated and resolved. The role involves mostly independent working as part of team success and is critical to ensuring that all products that leave the factory meet consumer expectations and safety requirements.

Previous experience in a similar field or a science related degree is preferred, as well as good computing skills and being able to demonstrate an ability to think beyond the immediate next step is a plus

What Will You Do?

• process and monitor freight costs to ensure compliance with agreed rates

The Service Desk Analyst is the central point of contact between IT and its users on a daily basis. Via phone call, Service Portal, or email, it is where users log incidents (disruptions or potential disruptions in service availability or quality) & requests (routine requests for services).
The Service Desk Analyst will provide first and second line technical support to internal staff, working with applications and systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of user incidents & requests.

Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities for Service Desk Analyst:

• Act as a single point of contact for phone calls, emails & portal notifications from staff regarding IT incidents and requests.
• Receive, log and manage calls from internal staff via telephone, email and IM
• Aid with helping the Field Support Engineers maintain an Asset Database - CMDB.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support and troubleshoot IT related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as Smartphones, Laptops, PCs and Printers.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues.
• Escalate unresolved calls to the appropriate support team
• Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner.
• Manage tickets and ensure all incidents are resolved in accordance with their SLAs.
• Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
• Provide basic in-house training, advice and guidance in MS Office applications used (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Maintain a knowledge base of known faults, errors and resolutions

NNL are looking to expand our existing team of engineers who perform structural analysis work to support our clients in the civil nuclear power industry.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out a wide range of structural integrity assessments using commercial finite element codes. This will include Impact Assessment Analysis, Fitness for Service, Fracture Mechanics and Remnant Life Assessments to appropriate British, American or European design codes.

The individual will be expected to manage all aspects of a technical project, which includes independent project delivery, commercial awareness and management of project staff. This role is client-facing so it is essential that applicants are able to demonstrate willingness and an ability to work directly with client engineers.

• Technical breadth and depth of knowledge in the field of Structural Integrity (linear and non-linear static and dynamic assessments) and Heat Transfer
• Familiar with IAEA Transport Regulations.
• Expert in using commercial modelling tools such as Ansys Mechanical, Ansys APDL and LS-Dyna.
• Expert in using programming tools such as Python, MATLAB and Mathcad.
• Experience of developing and delivering strategic training plans to enhance the capability function.
• Experience in application of design code requirements to verify mechanical structures subject to finite element analysis.
• Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years' worth of UK residency).

Desirable Criteria for Senior Structural Analyst:

• Experience in solving Structural Integrity challenges in relation to future generation Reactors.
• Experience with Fracture Mechanics, Life Assessment, Damage Tolerance Assessments, and Fitness.
• for Service Assessments using R5, R6, BS7910 or API-579.
• Evidence of peer reviewing technical work in the area of Structural Integrity and Heat transfer.
• Evidence of external publications in high impact journals.
