The department is based within the Head and Neck Clinical Services Centre, which comprises the Departments of: ENT and Audio-Vestibular Medicine, Audiology, Maxillo-Facial Surgery, Ophthalmology and Dermatology. The MFU has a team of specialists providing orthodontics, oral surgery and restorative dentistry as part of dental and surgical MDT care. We have a fully equipped MFU laboratory with highly skilled specialist technicians providing the support for rehabilitation post-surgery and complex care. Clinical support staff including nursing, technical and administration staff numbers are in place to support this post. Key Responsibilities: The appointee will join the Maxillofacial Team as a Consultant Surgeon and will be expected to participate in all facets of department activity with particular focus on the management of Head and neck cancer patients and reconstruction. The post will be based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Maxillofacial Department with a possible visiting role to St, Marys Hospital in the Isle of Wight (clinics and day case surgery only).
