Job Summary

The product management intern will work closely with our Product team to drive adoption of our platforms. You will assist in writing product requirement and user stories, conducting market research, and creating user experience specifications.

The intern can expect to learn about product management processes, industry best practices and overall product development lifecycle. To fulfil the role, the intern can also expect to adopt Agile principles to manage project deliveries and product features. You will have first-hand exposure to user interviews and client meetings that drive the overall product roadmap.

Job Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities:

· Market research and competitor analysis

· Create and maintain product documentation that facilitate communication between various teams involved in product development process.

· Work closely with developers to ensure the deliverables are according to requirements specifications and meet quality standards.

· Design wireframes according to product specifications with tools such as Figma

Responsibilities:

• Planning, timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

• Maintain a to-do list and diary.

• Assist with the calculations of yields of materials used such as concrete, aggregate base & asphalt.

• Tour jobsite daily with the Project Manager or Engineer to verify quantities claimed are correct and to stay current on overall job progress.

The Project Archivist facilitates the access of the Workman Family Papers addendum material through organization, arrangement, and description according to established professional practices. The incumbent will develop and follow through a processing plan overseen by and designed in consultation with the supervisor of record, the Processing Archivist. This position is supported by gift monies. The term of the internship is projected to be one semester or 2 quarters, between 10-15 hours per week, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Position-specific Responsibilities

• Arrange, describe, and process Workman collection according to archival standards and departmental guidelines. Develop processing plans and procedures in collaboration with the Processing Archivist. 
• Prepare collection guides. Make collections available on the Online Archive of California via ArchivesSpace software. 
• Maintain an established schedule of hours per week in Archives and Special Collections. 
• Participate in a departmental program of preservation and conservation of materials through project work.

Job Description

Critical Projects You Will Lead and/or Participate In:

• Recycling and Scrap Management
  • Lead project to create process to standardize collection and reporting of monthly waste data for all AFNA facilities.
  • Communicate directly to external scrap buyers and haulers to develop standard method of reporting monthly data.
  • Create repeatable process for adding new data to reports.
  • Work with Procurement Systems team to develop Power BI report.
  • Demonstrate the new process and report to Manufacturing Finance and EHS teams.
• Secondary Packaging
  • Collect packaging specifications and run them through TOPS application to assess secondary packaging at a partnered plant.
  • Collect data and utilize TOPS to drive improved efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Optimize TOPS process and create an SOP, so it can be repeated at other plants.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn and gain exposure to global packaging manufacturing industry
• Participate as a multidisciplinary member of various cross functional teams
• Take leadership over at least one critical project
• Assess and identify improvement opportunities in an analytical way
• Assist with the standardization of key process related to procurement
• Work with other functional teams such as IT and operations.
• Will interface with external customers and suppliers to collect data and implement standardization.
• Challenge the status quo to improve and / or design new processes
• Analyze and size both quantitative and qualitative impact of proposed improvement 
• Facilitate the integration with existing Amcor technology platforms and any new designed analytical tools

What We Require:

• Actively enrolled in Sophomore year in a Bachelors Program in a technical field of study such as Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Supply Chain or Procurement.
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and interest in process improvement
• Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
• Working knowledge of computer application software (training will be provided if needed)
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in teams
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in modern desktop office software applications

Job Summary

The Project Management Intern will gain experience in a cross-functional, matrix environment and be exposed to the project lifecycle including pre-evaluation/selection, project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects.  Project types range from strategic to technical and may include new product introductions or continuous improvement initiatives contributing to successful site operations at our Wilson, NC facility.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution by partnering with project managers to lead project activities and deliverables.
• Learn and assist with coordination, improvement, and training on project management tools, templates, and processes.
• Participation in site Gemba walks and cross-functional meetings as a core team member and contributor, proposing and implementing small-scale solutions/improvements.

Requirements:

• Intern candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering program
