• A working knowledge of payroll and the legalities surrounding this would be preferable.

• A relevant professional qualification such as AAT or similar is preferred but not essential.
• Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with colleagues and clients.

Location: Pisces Maroon Fish Farm, 2561 Boonah Rathdowney Road, Maroon, QLD, 4310

Work Hours: Full Time Position

Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000

Job Description:
Develop and grow large scale ornamental fish production facility for Pisces Enterprises PTY LTD to enable the company to supply commercial volumes to the ornamental fin fish to the Australian and NZ pet industry.
Skills Required:
• Tertiary qualification in ornamental fin fish production or equivalent, or higher related fields.
• 5+ years’ experience breeding, growing and caring for ornamental freshwater fin fish along with hands-on industry experience which includes fish pathology in a laboratory setting.
• Substantial understanding and experience in genetics and breeding ornamental freshwater fin fish. Proven experience working with a broad range of cold and tropical freshwater ornamental species such as Goldfish, Rainbow Sharks, Discus, Angel Fish and Guppy’s.
• Have proven experience and methods to successfully culture microorganisms such as Protozoa, Moina and Daphnia.
• Ability to show production yields from experience in previous roles.
• Ability to follow direction and report forecasting yields.
• Ability to manage and train production staff
• Relocate to rural location, South West of Brisbane QLD.
Daily Duties:
• Successfully formulate fish health treatments and husbandry techniques to ensure production yields, quality and forecast demand are met.
• Formulate feeding regimes to maximise fish health, quality, strength, and growth.
• Harvest ponds and stage fish for monitoring and transport.
• Meet with senior management team to discuss forecasting and demands.
• Select brood stock for pairing.
• Create and maintain production procedures
• Administer injections to promote spawning.
