Job Description:
Parsons is now hiring a Lead Command and Control (C2) Systems Engineer to join its growing Air Base Air Defense team. The systems engineer will be required to configure, integrate, install, and test Air Base Air Defense C2 systems for USAFE-AFAFRICA. This work will occur on prototype systems under test in a system staging setting, training systems, and on fielded operational systems. Specific tasks include the management of requirements, configuration of software, development of test plans, conducting hands-on integration, developing and executing test plans, and training foreign partners to configure and operate various C2 systems. Employee will apply past experience, knowledge, and skills to provide recommendations regarding systems development, testing, sustainment and enhancement. All tasks will be done in coordination with USAFE-AFAFRICA customer. **This position is located in Ramstein AFB, Germany (International Assignment)**NO REMOTE WORK**
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide subject matter expertise across C2 joint operations
Development and maintenance of multiple technical baselines of C2 systems
Deploy and configure C2 software in test, training, and operational settings
Integrate hardware, software, and network components into complete C2 solution
Evaluate suitability of protype C2 solutions to mission needs
Work across multiple security boundaries and at multiple classification levels
Develop and maintain documentation related to design and test
Train foreign partners to configure and operate various C2 systems
Develop and create unique theater-specific simulated training scenarios to meet customer specific training requirements
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical field
10+ years of hands-on engineering experience
Former 13B (Air Battle Manager) or 1C5 with tactical C2 experience in E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attached Radar System (JSTARS), Control and Reporting Center (CRC)
Expertise in operating, integration, configuring, and modifying various C2/TDL systems and/Or BC3, MSCT, TDF, CAC2S, ADSI, TRAX, JRE, MOJO, FAADC2, etc.
Experience in modern information systems, including computer hardware, data storage, network and distributed systems
Experience in air defense weapon/C2 systems and/or network engineering in a large distributed environment with emphasis on military (US/NATO)
Experience troubleshooting and monitoring network traffic
Experience with standard systems engineering practices of change management, requirements decomposition, and peer review
CLEARANCE REQUIRED –SECRET

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience with and ability to test and evaluate variety of TDL management tools
BC3, MSCT, TDF and/or CAC2S proficiency highly desired
Expertise with air defense sensors, command and control concepts, weapons, and concept of operations
Experience in working with European DoD entities is strongly desired
Experience working with/in cybersecurity requirements on operationally authorized networks
