Primary Objective(s) of Position
Donors and volunteers continue to be the bloodline of AWWA, one of Singapore’s largest social service agencies. With over 25 different services within a single organisation, this is an exciting opportunity for one to fuse a passion for storytelling, stakeholder engagement and project management skills to drive AWWA’s mission of supporting early childhood education, children with developmental needs, families with complex social issues, the elderly, and persons with additional needs so that they remain integrated and included in their communities.
As we appreciate diversity in our team, each member is required to be effectively bilingual (in English and one other vernacular language). The incumbent will be a strong relationship builder and spokesperson for services and accounts under their purview. They will seek out opportunities to grow AWWA’s base of partnerships and community support via donor and volunteer stewardship, engagement and communications, and the crafting of workplans and strategies. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities
Plan, execute, monitor and evaluate Community Partnership’s strategy, through a myriad of programmes, initiatives, activities and campaigns
Donor Stewardship
• Directly contribute to the development of a strategic fundraising plan to meet annual funding needs, in tandem with the organisation’s growth and development
• Review, plan and execute innovative fundraising initiatives, such as digital campaigns, signature events and in-person engagement activities to meet fundraising targets
• Strategise, identify, and reach out to individuals, corporates, and foundations to build and manage a pipeline of existing and potential donors
• Maintain and update donor records
• Actively seek out and build relationships with existing donors through regular, sustained, and meaningful engagement activities (e.g. email blasts, personalised birthday greetings) to maintain donor loyalty
• Prepare donor reports, appeals, and impact updates
• Contribute to grant applications and proposals for new initiatives/programmes
Volunteer Management
• Maintain and grow volunteer base through outreach to individuals, community-based groups, and large corporates • Implement volunteer management policies, practices, and processes.
• Execute and evaluate volunteer publicity and recruitment efforts, orientation, training, volunteer recognition and engagement activities
• Assess in-house requirements for volunteers, and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteers/volunteer partnerships
• Manage volunteer database and prepare timely and consolidated progress reports on budget and statistics
• Ensure that volunteers are matched with suitable opportunities that are in line with their interests/skills so as to increase positive volunteer experiences

Job Requirements
• Four to five years of relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Excellent project and budget management skills
• Ability to build stakeholder acquisition plans and drive their execution and measurement
• Ability to work with different stakeholders (both internal and external) at different levels, and curate/tailor appropriate messages
• Experience in creating comprehensive reports
• Solid storytelling skills with the ability to sell a cause with conviction
• Some experience with social media
• Fundraising experience is a plus
• Simple design skills for clear communications collateral/assets are a plus
• Good situational judgement and critical thinking skills
• Passion for social impacts and outcomes
