SR Quality / Quality Lead/ Supervisor (QAQC)

The Quality Lead/ Supervisor is responsible for ensuring timely and effective implementation of the company's policies, procedures, and standards involved in assuring the quality of manufactured products and customer satisfaction, as well as for conducting quality control activities. The Quality Supervisor strives to ensure the facility adheres to quality licenses, standards and certifications.

A successful candidate will collaborate closely with functional areas such as Manufacturing, Procurement, Mfg. Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Product Lines, R&M and Geozones regularly as well as presenting to internal teams plans and updates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead 4 Quality Control Inspectors and liaise with internal & external stakeholders.
• Maintain site Quality Management System.
• Update QMS records and maintain all necessary documentation and certificates.
• Responsible for following management of change as processes and procedures are updated as per QMS requirements.
• Perform regular process audits in Manufacturing areas and functional areas, including technical work instructions, processes, procedures, and competence and ensure compliance.
• Generate CARs related to any deficiencies and track them to completion.
• Keep competency records up-to-date.
• Conduct training related to QMS, procedures, WIs, others.
• Actively participate in Contract Reviews.
• Develop customer QCP Plans. Ensure contractual requirements are built into Quality Control plans.
• Actively participate in Pre-Production meetings.
• Coordinate Client visits, and audits and constant communication to demonstrate our commitment and promote the Corporate Quality Management System.
• Drive action trackers to completion, related to customer audits, manufacturing reviews or qualification process.
• Coordinate TPIs per customer QCPs, and per production schedule. Ensure documentation meet requirements.
• Review/release WOs from a Quality point of view.
• CPARs/NCRs/COPQ; monitor performance/trends, data analysis, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure that the required improvements are sustained. Actively participate in RCA. Monitor/track other Quality KPIs.
• Coordinate with product design engineers and manufacturing engineers the requirements in the quality plans and inspection and test plans to be aligned with their engineering design criteria, production schedules and customer requirements.
• Coordinate quality assurance plans for new PNs/product introductions.
• Review and approval purchased materials/products mill test certificates if it complies with the required company specifications and/or applicable industry standards prior to acceptance and use.
• Ensure quality control inspection and testing activities are performed in accordance with Global MFG QMS, customer QCPs/Inspection matrices, and/or local procedires and work instructions.
• Manage non-conformance process in accordance with Global MFG QMS.
• Identify a minimum of two continuous improvement projects per year to lead and complete with measurable improvement to the business in terms of margin, quality, etc
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by his direct supervisor within the timeframe specified safely and efficiently to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.

Job Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of experience with ISO-9001
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC role in the manufacturing environment
• Excellent written, reading, and oral communication in English
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office software at a minimum

Purpose

• To lead and manage Site validation activities (as assigned) to ensure that validations are in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and cGMP expectations.
• To provide QA compliance oversight over IT and Technical Services (as assigned)

Key Responsibilities Area

Ensure site validation activities are compliant with Site procedures, regulatory requirements, and cGMP expectations:

• Author and maintain the quality system SOPs for validation.
• Define validation approach that is technically sound and are compliant.
• Author Validation Plans and Reports, including Continuous Validation Plan
• Review and approve validation deliverables
• Provide solutions to achieve validation requirements

• Oversee Periodic requalification and Continued process verification to maintain the validated status of systems and processes.
• Conduct GSK internal audits and front as SME in external regulatory inspections.
• Provide support for all activities related to GPS (e.g. Tiers, Gemba, DMAIC etc) for continuous improvement.

Provide QA Oversight to IT operations in areas of:

• QA consultation to review and approve SOPs
• Review and approve changes, deviations and CAPAs

1. Provide QA compliance oversight to Technical Services

• Interact with TS personnel in day-to-day operations to ensure cGMP compliance
• Be the QA approver for TS activities including but not limited to LSOPs, Deviation/Event, CAPAs, Change Controls, and Quality Tag-Outs

2. Interface with Internal & External stakeholders

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Min bachelor's degree in industrial biotechnology or engineering

• Be responsible for daily operations of the online QC support of UM Plant.
• Manage QC lab tech scheduling and plan work force utilization to ensure efficient use of resources.
• Ensure that products are effectively inspected/tested, and that product/process quality data conformed with specifications.
• Ensure continuous compliance to Good Manufacturing Procedures.
• Monitor and analyze process / product outputs, identify systemic problem / opportunity areas, provide data to the divisional team(s), and work with team members to drive process improvement project towards zero-defect quality performance.
• Lead to review effectiveness of corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) system.

Lab Operation

• Supervise QC laboratory operations.
• Coordinate with other departments and conduct investigations as an area expert for appropriate discrepancies.
• Assist in developing departmental strategic staffing plans and justifications for headcount and capital equipment requests.
• Promotes laboratory safety working culture. Review opportunity to achieve zero incident.

Quality Systems

• Perform as SAP Superuser for Quality function.
• Manage QA System sustainability.
• Lead to attain food safety management system certification, i.e., ISO22K.
• Lead to plan and organize regular audits to the production and quality operations for compliance as well as to co-ordinate and document corrective action programs.
• Lead to review Change Management, Audit management and CAPA Management are effective.
• Manage other Quality related projects as and when required.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible to analyse food safety and quality results and track performance against established goals and assist in periodic reporting of performance.
2. Serve as first point of contact for all customer quality inquiries, aiding in scheduling of audits, providing feedback to both simple and complicated inquiries.
3. Develop, update and implement current Food Safety Management System (BRC), HACCP and Halal Quality Management System (MUIS) in accordance to standards to ensure products produced meet relevant regulations and certification requirements.
4. Ensure production, warehouse and areas where activities affect food safety and quality comply with GMP.
5. Lead and conduct investigation of customer complaints, maintain investigation log and track investigation closure.
6. Issue CPAR to internal and suppliers for all non-conforming products including raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.
7. Conduct annual mock recall, traceability and mass balance exercise.
8. Support and assist external audits and inspection including 3rd Party, Customer and Regulatory audits and inspections.
9. Develop and conduct appropriate training in all aspects of food quality and safety to ensure compliance to established systems.
10. Responsible for the application of Export Health Certificate and Phytosanitary Certificate.
11. Provide technical advice and support to sales, shipping, maintenance and production department.
12. Responsible to issue and complete customer inquiries, questionnaires, COA, product specifications and declarations.

Requirements

1. Minimum Diploma in Food Science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• To champion and liaise with production personnel on the investigation of root cause(s) of non-conformance and procedural failures
• Writing Quality Control plans & Inspection Test Plan (ITP) as per contractual requirements, API and licensors’ requirements
• To prepare, review & approve Quality Documentations such as drawings, first piece, in-process & final inspection reports prior to product release to customers
• To conduct audit, process inspection on sub-contract suppliers and maintenance of Approved Vendor List (AVL)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

· Diploma with at least 3 years of experience in quality management / manufacturing environment/ Degree in the field of Mechanical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Quality Certification or equivalent.

· Possess good knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO13485 QMS, with auditing experience preferred.

· Experience in contract manufacturing of wire harness assembly, PCBA and Electro-mechanical assembly, handling of new products from new launch to mass production, on the Quality control & handing of customer complaint & returns.

· Experience on raw material compliance conformity (Eg.RoHS, Reach, Conflict of Mineral, Pro65) is preferred

· Good problem- solving & communication skills, resourceful and independent.

· Experienced in generating Quality procedures & knowledge of ESG Sustainability is an advantage.
