The pay range for this position is $143,500 to $246,000 annually.  The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Senior Director, Capture Management

Position Summary:

 A Capture Manager within KBR National Security Solutions (NSS) Growth Team plays a vital role in driving the growth and success of the organization by identifying, pursuing, and capturing new business opportunities. They are responsible for developing and implementing capture strategies that align with KBR NSS mission, values, and capabilities, ensuring that the organization is well-positioned to win new contracts aligned with the NSS growth strategy. 

In this role, the Capture Manager collaborates closely with KBR NSS executive leadership, business development, proposal, technical, and functional teams to create winning proposals that effectively showcase the company's capabilities and value proposition. The ideal candidate brings existing customer and business relationships in the DOD and IC markets. This role will focus on building customer intimacy, identifying unmet customer needs in and around the DOD, IC, and related government organizations. The Capture Manager will work as a “leader/doer” by leading and actively contributing to the qualification and capture of new and/or emerging business development opportunities. This position leads cross-Divisional collaboration, pipeline reporting, and synergy in meeting strategic business goals. By analyzing market trends and the competitive landscape, they will work in close partnership with the operations team leadership to identify potential opportunities for KBR NSS and develop tailored capture strategies to increase the probability of winning targeted contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage three to five capture efforts in various stages for award within 18 months
• Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline for assigned organization
• Develop the opportunity through diligent and timely influencing of customers and by leveraging current technologies, customer intimacies, and inter-company collaboration
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to identify customer objectives, priorities, and requirements and align company capabilities as an innovative industry leader
• Develop and maintain strong industry relations with large and small businesses with significant presence in assigned markets
• Develop and maintain strong internal relationships across KBR
• Conduct/moderate meetings/workshops to develop win themes, solutioning, pricing, gap analysis, etc…
• Develop capture artifacts such as (but not limited to): Win themes, solutioning, discriminators, customer engagement strategies, competitive assessment and gap analysis, proof points, past performance candidate identification, proposal resource requirement identification, B&P budget, pricing strategies, capture snapshot and milestone reviews, etc)

Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• 10+ years of industry experience
• 10+ years of capture management experience
• Strong understanding of DOD and IC markets with relevant organizational relationships
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills with experience presenting at the executive levels
• Can provide examples of leading opportunity capture for deals >$100M including developing overall win strategy, shaping deals with customers, developing team strategies, and assisting in developing a winning price strategy
• Proven ability to establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders
• Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries
• Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors

What the role is

The Waste Infrastructure Management Department (WIMD) under the Waste Infrastructure Operations & Management Division (WIOMD) oversees the availability of national waste disposal and incineration capacity, manages private waste facilities, waste disposal accounts and revenue collection by the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) plants and Tuas Marine Transfer Station.

What you will be working on

You will work in the Waste Accounts Management Branch (WAMB) under WIMD which monitors the operation of the PPP WTE plants’ weighbridges, verifies the quantity of waste received and manages issues relating to weighbridges. WAMB also manages the security deposit of waste disposal account holders, as well as the billing and collection of refuse disposal fees. You will be responsible for the following:

• Monitor the operation of the PPP WTE plants’ weighbridges including but not limited to the following:
• Verification of the quantity of waste received
• Monitor performance of weighbridges including records in Refuse Disposal Management System and Waste & Resource Management System
• Evaluate reports and make recommendations for improvements
• Verify monthly service payments to PPP WTE plants
• Transform the current processes in revenue collection and management of the refuse disposal accounts
• Transform the current processes in monitoring and timely collection of refuse disposal fees

General Summary

The Associate Director for Alliance Management (AD AM) will support the Director for Alliance Management, the Commercial Distributor Team and the Cystic Fibrosis franchise.

You will also support the Director of Alliance Management to identify future operating models in new and existing markets by conducting external benchmarking activities that will inform geographic expansion and distributor partnership scope, as Vertex continues to access more international markets and treat more CF patients.

The AD AM will support the distributor selection and due diligence processes, as well as the operational transitioning of partners in compliance with Vertex’s policies, SOPs and procedures.

Applicants should have direct alliance management experience and be proficient in the design and implementation of highly tactical plans to mirror the endorsement of go-to-market strategies.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work closely with the Director for Alliance Management and Vertex cross-functional team to identify the best operating models in new markets, in synergy with specialty partner identification, as well as ensuring effectiveness in current markets

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant hard science or business discipline
• Experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, as an instrumental contributor to a range of complex multi-dimensional workstreams within a direct alliance management capacity
• Proven experience in commercial operations; preferably experience in managing distributor partnerships and executive go-to-market planning and/or a strong background in consultancy
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a knowledge of business practices and cultural differences across international markets
• Adept at working with multiple cultures, with an understanding of key stakeholders relevant to pharmaceutical supply in either Latin America, Middle East and Africa or Asia Pacific and preferentially international experience in one of these markets
