About Us
LiquidX Studio is a gaming development studio with the goal to produce an open-world AAA game called Pixelmon.
We are based in Singapore and Malaysia with many of our team collaborating remotely from countries like New Zealand, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil. With large backing from our recently raised funding round, we aim to create an entirely unique experience with immersive gameplay and extensive lore that will wow all gamers.
The Challenge
We are looking for a Lead QA Tester to assess our software & game quality through manual testing. You will be responsible for leading the QA team in finding and reporting bugs and glitches. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. If you are also competent in executing test cases, test plans and are passionate about quality, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly.
What You Can Expect To Work On
- Lead a team of game testers and provide guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the testing process.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and strategies to ensure thorough and efficient testing of our games.
- Coordinate with the development team to understand game requirements, features, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate and manage external QA outsourcers.
- Plan and schedule testing activities, assigning tasks to team members, and monitoring progress to ensure deadlines are met.
- Perform hands-on testing of games across various platforms and devices to identify bugs, glitches, and other issues.
- Document and track bugs using bug tracking software, ensuring clear and concise communication with the development team.
- Provide detailed reports and feedback on game performance, gameplay experience, and potential improvements.
- Collaborate with designers, programmers, and artists to address and resolve identified issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in game testing and quality assurance.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the testing team to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process of new game testers.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience: Proven experience with a minimum of 5 year work experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role with experience in leading and releasing titles on Apple AppStore and GooglePlay store.
- Technical Skills : Familiar with project management and QA methodologies, as well as software like Jira, Notion, Asana, Shotgun, Excel, Project, Confluence, Unreal Engine, Unity or equivalents
- Communication : Ability to communicate with stakeholders and the team as a whole in an effective and concise manner
- People Management: Able to work as part of a team, and proven record of cross functional collaboration
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mind, Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- NFT & Blockchain : Experience in working NFTs and blockchain technology/industry is a plus
