Established in 1999 initially as the FST Programme in the Faculty of Science, it was elevated to a full academic department in January 2020 in the same Faculty. Project Overview

The Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) Centre invites applications for Postdoctoral Associate positions in the area of crystallization science and particle engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to work on the design and engineering of advanced microparticle-based pharmaceutical drug products comprising soft (polymer/hydrogel) matrices containing crystalline drug particles, typically made using microfluidic methods. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with a consortium of pharmaceutical companies (GSK, Merck and Pfizer). He/she will be reporting to Prof. Patrick S. Doyle (MIT, SMART) and Prof Saif A. Khan (NUS, SMART) and work with their team of researchers and collaborators.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be working closely with CAMP researchers and industry collaborators to develop a high-throuhgput process to manufacture engineered particles.

Principal duties are

• Generate various pharmecutical particles using microfluidics devices.

• Perform appropriate analysises to characterize the engineered particles.

• Perform materials testing experiments.

• Understand a process scale-up in order to translate the technology into an industrial domain.

• Prepare reports for industrial sponors.

Requirements

• PhD degree in chemical/materials engineering or related fields.

Iowa State University's Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition invites applications for a 9-month Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (tenure-track) faculty position in Dairy Products Science and Technology. The position is 30% research, 30% teaching, 25% administration, and 15% service.

The selected candidate will conduct research in Dairy Products Science and Technology, focusing on establishing a dynamic, externally funded research program. They will teach undergraduate courses within the Food Science core curriculum, advise undergraduate students, and mentor graduate students. The College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University–Worldwide Campus (ERAU-W) seeks a dynamic, nationally recognized academic leader who will serve as Chair for the Department of Mathematics, Science and Technology (MST). This is an on-site position at Embry-Riddle Worldwide Headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL. This position will include a tenured faculty appointment at the associate professor or professor rank. As a member of the dean’s leadership team and a tenured faculty member in the college, the successful candidate will teach one course per year and be expected to maintain an exemplary level of research and scholarly activity.

A Ph.D. degree in physical or mathematical science is required; expertise in chemistry, physics, or data science is preferred.

The successful candidate will be expected to champion the expansion, improvement, and advancement of a wide range of academic fields within the department, especially in physical science and technology. This includes reviewing courses and instructors to encourage exceptional teaching practices as well as coordinating the development of exciting new degree programs. Some working experience in the laboratory will be useful, however, more importantly, a highly curious mind of a scientist, and a strong chemistry knowledge and/or emulsifiers, will be advantageous.
2. Loves the mysteries of chemistry and must have a great passion in a laboratory environment, R&D research, and a high curiosity nature to work hands-on to test and refine the process.
3. Some knowledge of Halal, Kosher, ISO procedures, FSSC, and RSPO will be an advantage, and the ability to build Quality Systems.
