What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be developing and maintaining the release train. This will include the preparation and review of the release and environment strategy, involving plans and estimation, and management of interdependencies. With your vital leadership, you’ll provide cross-team synchronisation, making sure everyone has a clear understanding of how their work helps our customers.

You’ll lead on continuous improvement across delivery via various channels, including improving or removing manual steps, and we’ll look to you to demonstrably improve release train agility and value to end state customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Enhancing deployment and management phases of the development lifecycle, including through Agile coaching and active contribution to release and environment best practice
• Facilitating and fostering the preparation of release and sprint vision, goals and work pipelines and facilitating pre and post planning meetings
• Building and communicating release calendars and iterative planning cycles and synchronising with other release train managers across domains
• Aggregating the programme release objectives into value streams release objectives where they exist and publishing them for visibility and transparency
• Assisting with the economic decision-making by facilitating estimation by teams and the roll up to programme and portfolio levels

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with an expert understanding of running complex projects spanning multiple scrum and non-scrum teams.

To support investigators completing submissions to external funding bodies, e.g.: Research Councils and Medical Research Charities, leading on the costing and supporting submission of research grant applications and provide a full advice and support service to investigators undertaking research within the Directorates at all stages of the research process for submissions to funding bodies, ensuring all costs are appropriately classified between Direct and Indirect Research, Service Support and Excess Treatment. Lead on the development of a management system for all investigator-led grants running at the Trust and establish the financial arrangements for these while also being able to track all applications through the submission process. Maintain clear and accurate records for audit purposes, both internally complying with Trust regulations and externally complying with funders requirements and additional provision of detail Assist in the preparation of the financial tables for Grant annual returns Liaise extensively with external partners, such as collaborating Institutions, funding bodies and Investigators when required in order to produce accurate financial analysis for investigator led clinical trials. A fantastic opportunity has been arisen for an experienced, commercially minded Digital Training professional who will be responsible for the production and quality of any new content on the Red Cross Training website. In this role, you will be accountable for the planning, development and success of new digital training products, such as online learning and VR training, working to ensure that content produced meets the British Red Cross standards. A day in the life of a Digital Training Product Manager will involve:

• Manage the development of all digital training products.
• Take ownership of the planning, writing and development of scalable digital training content, ensuring that it's engaging, innovative and competitive.
• Work closely with the Digital Manager and Product Manager to develop the new digital training courses and ensure that digital training content is aligned with face-to-face training.
