This is a full-time role for a Sales Support Engineer, stationed in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for providing sales and technical support to customers, as well as preparing and delivering technical presentations. Responsibilities:

• To assist the Project Manager to monitor and supervise the construction works at the project site, to ensure it meets the requirements in term of cost, quality and time.
• To review construction drawings and carry out valued engineering.
• To co-ordinate with Authorities, Consultants and Sub-contractors.
• To prepare daily site reports and correspondence.
• To do site inspection to check on quality of works/progress of works/ defect inspection.
• To attend project site meeting to ensure project schedule is adhered to, problem and defects are attended to.

Requirements :

• Candidates must possess Degree/ Diploma in Building or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 1-2 year working experience.
• Able to plan and lead sub-contractors on day-to day operation.

• Accountabilities for the role include all mine engineering, mine geology, survey and technical services.
• Maintain mine plans, including daily plans, weekly plans, monthly forecasts, yearly budget plans, and LOM plans.
• Routine operational reports will be required, including but not limited to daily, weekly, monthly, mine reconciliation reports, reserve block model/grade reports.
• Preparation of mine designs (pit designs, waste dump designs, access roads, stockpile designs, drainage designs. etc.) and blast designs using the Surpac software.
• Manage day to day relationship with and provide guidance to Mine Operations team.
• Day to day mining contractor management.
• Communication with geologists and other professionals and site management.
• Contractor claim review/validation/verification and management.
• Pit optimization using Whittle.
• Mine cost analysis and alternative project evaluations.

Key qualifications and experience required include the following;

• A tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering
• More than 5 years of mine operations experience in the resources industry
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of Safety Management and a positive approach to implementing and execution of Management Systems.
• Knowledge of Surpac Software and the use of Whittle highly desirable.
• Competent user of Mircosoft Office Products especially Excel, Work and PowerPoint and Access database.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Oversee daily construction activities at the project site, ensuring they are executed according to plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety compliance, and adherence to construction standards.
• Manage and coordinate site resources, labor, materials, and equipment and machinery to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Resolve on-site issues promptly by identifying solutions and communicating effectively with all relevant parties, including general workers.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, work logs, and quality control documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams, offering solutions to engineering challenges that may arise.
• Review and interpret shop drawings, construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate implementation.
• Conduct regular meetings with project teams to communicate project status, goals, and expectations.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, assisting in cost control measures and change order management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction site.
• Proficient in construction management software and tools (MS Words, MS Project, AutoCad etc).
• Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Possess problem-solving and analytical abilities, leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Valid driving licence and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
