We are seeking a Head Consultant to work as part of the KBR Consulting International team. The successful candidate will be key member of the team providing consulting services and contributing to business development activities across the upstream oil & gas sector, which includes greenfield and brownfield projects, maximizing the performance of existing assets and energy transition of the upstream industry, i.e. electrification, emissions reduction, decarbonization, etc.

The Head Consultant for Upstream will report to the Director of KBR Consulting International based in Leatherhead, (UK). The candidate will have the following primary responsibilities:
Oversight of the delivery of studies in the oil & gas sector from pre-feasibility through to Pre-Feed, assuring technical quality with on-time and budget delivery.
Growing KBR Consulting’s project portfolio and revenue in the oil & gas sector through defining strategic direction and undertaking business development activities, working with the Global Head of Oil & Gas for KBR Consulting.
Interfacing with other parts of the KBR organization to grow incremental revenue from existing projects.
Providing technical and commercial inputs and oversight into client proposals.
Developing Consulting capacity and capability in the oil & gas sector through recruitment, training of consulting team members and the development of in-house tools and work methods; and
Act as a Subject Matter Expert within candidate’s area of oil & gas expertise.
The candidate should have excellent organizational skills and be good at communicating and guiding others. The successful candidate may be required to work on projects, thereby necessitating excellent ability to multi-task, work without supervision, exercise good judgment and communicate with colleagues in the wider KBR organisation.
Requirements & Qualifications
The successful candidate is expected to have a relevant number of years of industry experience with a specific technical and/or commercial focus in the oil & gas sector. They should be able to demonstrate depth of experience and knowledge in a number of the following services areas:
Feasibility and configuration studies.
Full Field Development (FFD) planning.
Greenfield projects.
Brownfield projects.
Onshore projects.
Offshore projects for floating & fixed assets.
Debottlenecking studies.
Process design (including HP/HT fields, gas processing including dewpoint control, NGL fractionation, acid gas removal, gas sweetening and mercaptan removal, gas compression & export / injection, oil stabilisation, water treatment & injection systems and utility systems).
Process operations and improvements.
Flow Assurance and subsea developments.
Development of cost estimates upto Class 3 level.
Project execution strategies.
Direct sales experience.
The candidate should also:
Be a senior professional with strong personal drive and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders.
Be a high energy individual with a desire to make a difference and offer suggestions for improvement & recommendations.
Be able to undertake and support business development. May serve as a proposal manager on large pursuits, gaining executive approvals where required, through to final contractual negotiations.
Be able to project manage Consultancy projects. May execute some projects as project manager and so must be flexible and able to adapt to changing project-related priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work within required deadlines.
Manage successful execution and conclusion of oil & gas projects completed by KBR Consulting International.
Participate in cross fertilisation of work between KBR departments and developing a One KBR approach to execute projects.
Develop and maintaining customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction at project level and resolving any issues.
Liaise with the Consulting International Director to ensure the projects are adequately resourced.
Review project obligations and ensuring management of change including variation orders.
Feedback and review of project managers to ensure they are adequately supported and developing their skills.
Development of project close out procedures including knowledge sharing, lessons learned and project case study preparation for marketing materials.
Manages risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.
Oversee project managers, to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high standard;
Train, develop & mentor the next generation of the Consulting Oil & Gas team;
Have existing client relationships in their respective areas of expertise.
Be able to travel for business trips on short notice:
Be fluent in spoken and written English. Additional languages are a plus.

We have several opportunities for Electrical Design Engineers to support a large infrastructure programme based in the West of Scotland.
This is a key role working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting nuclear facilities and the delivery of services across Client sites.
What We Need
You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with previous knowledge of industrial plant and machinery in a HV or LV environment.
You will have:
Knowledge of current design standards and working practices including British & European Standards.
Experience in the design assessment of electrical plant and equipment to withstand hazards.
Experience of authoring and producing robust technical justification and supporting documentation to allow for relevant electrical design modifications to be authorised within a high hazard industry.
Experience working on multi-discipline projects providing electrical engineering input (ideally within industrial and/or maritime).
Familiarity with safety case development techniques.
Experience of working in the UK nuclear industry (energy or defence), particularly in the design and assessment of safety-related structures, systems and components.
Qualifications
BEng Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent experience.
Security Requirements
You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.
Location
This position is hybrid with the opportunity to be onsite (Helensburgh) or at home. There is an opportunity for this role to be conducted fully remotely with occasional site visits.
