We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for Autonomous Vehicles in the DRIVE map provider team in China. We expect to work with various Navigation map providers as well as NVIDIA crowdsourced maps to provide critical information for planning. 

In this role, you will help craft and guide our low-cost map building solution, which is the future of NVIDIA’s autonomous vehicle mapping system. What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop core functionality for map-based driving.

• Download map content on the fly based on car requests in a safety critical manner.

• Handle real-time system signals in the car running all over the world.

• Write safe embedded software code to run in real-time systems.

• Develop highly efficient product code in C++ and make use of algorithmic parallelism offered by GPGPU programming (CUDA).

• Produce code and designs following automotive quality and safety standards (AUTOSAR, ISO 26262).

• Review teammates' architecture, design, and software code.

• Mentor newer team members in software engineering and your unique expertise areas

• Develop EHR and EHP software

What We Need To See:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 6+ years of proven experience building robust software

• At least 3 years of C++ development experience

• Passion for robotics and autonomous vehicles

• Drive to learn new things and tackle meaningful problems

• Outstanding communication and cross-team collaboration

• Independent and analytical software engineering skills

• Knowledge of 3D reconstruction

We are seeking an energetic, hardworking software engineer to develop and productize key driver assistance and autonomous driving features for our DRIVE solution. In this role, you will work on a mix of planning and control problems to build focused software solutions. Through effective collaboration with established teams, you will help design and mature new products all the way through to production.

What you'll be doing:

Maturing and productizing new features entails a diversity of activities, including:

• Developing, tuning, and verifying safety critical algorithms using fundamental physics, control systems, planning algorithms, and/or vehicle dynamics.

• Debugging and addressing different issues identified in simulations and in test drives.

• Collaborating with our globally distributed team to enhance the software architecture, design and build a robust system

• Defining and verifying product requirements through detailed analysis, simulation, in-car testing, and benchmarking existing products.

• Maturing prototype software to production quality.

What we need to see:

• BS or higher in an engineering or technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.

• 5+ years of practical experience.

• Experience writing software in C++.

• Comfort with an Agile/Scrum software development environment using GitLab (or similar).

• Comfort developing software with GIT in a Linux environment.

The Automotive Vehicles team is searching for a creative and experienced Software Engineer to help us bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution out to the world. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our AV SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all meaningful NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. Your primary role will be to build simulation-based tests and toolings that will enable us to test and validate our self-driving technology over millions of virtual miles.
 

What you will be doing:

• Lead efforts to streamline and automate the development of simulation tests from all aspects of creation, run, and analysis infrastructure. 

• Scale up the use of end to end Simulation at scale to evaluate Autonomous Vehicle performance through test architecture and tool development. 

• Build reliable and scalable infrastructure that can make it easy to scale and interact with simulation tests.

• Analyze complex technical issues and independently drive resolution.

• Guide technical aspects of development of test scenario creation and usability in Simulation.

• Work closely with developers and operational teams responsible for Simulation test creation to understand their needs and improve scalability and stability of the platform. 

• Collaborate with the DRIVE Sim software team, bridging needs of Autonomous Vehicle development and innovative end-to-end Simulation capabilities, applying your skills to understand and improve the modules that simulate the real world driving.  

What we need to see:

• BS (or equivalent experience), MS, or higher degrees in Engineering or Science field.

• 5+ years relevant experience building infrastructure and test automation.

• Passion for developing software that makes others more productive. 

• Experience working on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Autonomous Driving, Replay testing, or Simulation environments. 

• Substantial experience with Python/C++ in a software driven environment.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizations.

• Experience with scaling the use of autonomous vehicles simulation frameworks.
