Job Description:

• Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for management review.
• Support the budgeting process by collecting and analyzing financial data, preparing budget models, and assisting in budget reviews.
• Help forecast future financial performance based on historical data and market trends.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide explanations for variances.
• Assist in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including invoicing, collections, and payments processing.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accuracy.
• Provide support in financial operations, such as maintaining financial records, reconciling bank statements, and processing transactions.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist in preparing tax returns and filings, including corporate income tax, GST/VAT, and other tax obligations.
• Help ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in responding to tax inquiries and audits.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing of the team’s Final Freight Invoice before sending out to Counterpart
• Generate periodic reports through Dashboards & IMOS to share with the team and monitor progress
• Oversee the Bank balance and to work closely with Controllers & FX team to maintain adequate funds in our Account
• In-Charge of daily Cashlog, Monthly Cashflow & to perform daily Bank reconciliation against Trial Balance as well
• Oversee Broker’s SOA
• Oversee Bunker mass settlement
• Involve and handle daily operations of Vessels (Exécution work responsibilities)
• Assist to monitor Team’s file closing status
• Assist in providing documentation to the reporting division to support annual audit across the entire platform
• Assist in creating and improving reports, processes and systems

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience within the shipping industry experience
• Essential to have prior vessel and voyage accounting experience
• Experience working within a commodity trading environment.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and IMOS accounting software preferred

Other skills (Computer Skills, etc)

• Strong practical accounting knowledge and skills
• Strong attention to detail, including precise accuracy of data entry
• Detailed follow-through abilities and strong documentation skills
