The GM should have strong B2B ingredient sales and key account management experience, and have also overseen business development, marketing, supply chain and operations. The GM should be dynamic and customer-centric and enjoys problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
· Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential B2B clients, such as large food manufacturers, restaurants, and catering companies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in these organizations.
· Client Relationship Management: Understand the unique needs and requirements of your B2B clients. Collaborate with them to provide customized ingredient solutions, address their concerns, and ensure high customer satisfaction. Act as a trusted advisor and build long-term partnerships.
· Supply Chain Management: Ensure a reliable supply chain that meets the specific demands of your B2B clients, including timely delivery, consistent quality, and competitive pricing.
· Product Portfolio Management: Analyse market trends, customer preferences, and industry demands to develop a comprehensive and competitive product portfolio. Continuously assess and update the portfolio based on changing customer needs and emerging ingredient trends.
· Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to guarantee the safety, purity, and consistency of the food ingredients. Adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards, providing necessary certifications and documentation to clients.
· Pricing and Contract Negotiation: Establish pricing strategies that align with market dynamics, competition, and client requirements. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with B2B clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements while safeguarding the interests of your company.
· Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a team of professionals engaged in various aspects of the B2B ingredient business, such as sales, customer service, product development, and logistics. Foster collaboration between departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
· Market Research and Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry innovations. Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for new product development or expansion into new markets.
· Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Stay updated with food safety regulations, labelling requirements, and other relevant compliance standards specific to B2B transactions. Ensure full compliance in all aspects of ingredient sourcing, production, and distribution.
· Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve processes, operations, and customer experiences. Seek feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to identify areas for optimization and implement strategies for ongoing improvement.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Food Science, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management). A master's degree is a plus.
· Proven experience in a managerial role within the food ingredient industry, with a focus on B2B operations.
· Strong knowledge of food ingredient sales, marketing and supply chain
· Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
· Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proactive, result-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
