This position will support the Manufacturing Engineering Team within SPTS, which has manufacturing and new product introduction responsibilities. As a member of the SPTS Manufacturing Engineering team, you will have responsibilities covering product assurance of supply, product cost, product quality, and supplier sourcing, selection, and management. Representing the operations organization as part of broader new product introduction programs, and support manufacturing specific projects. Will work closely with internal colleagues in Engineering, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Operations and Procurement.
You will also have procurement and manufacturing responsibilities for part of SPTS’s product portfolio, which may include printheads, suppliers, hardware, enablers, and lower-level components. leading efforts towards data transformation. This includes working with the team to identify the right product and MPa measures and metrics, automate data and information collection, and present it in an accessible manner that provides insight and understanding to drive action.
This role also includes:
Establishing and/or maintaining the records and documentation associated with these products and partners/suppliers
Innovating to improve processes, approaches, or solutions regarding cost reduction, quality improvement, or availability assurance
The employee will support or lead SPTS NPI efforts. This person must understand the design and performance requirements for the products and ensure they can be made or procured reliably for their expected life.
Providing Manufacturing Engineering team, cross operations, or overall program management leadership for new product introduction programs, including establishing plans, managing schedules, identifying benchmarks, and promoting best practices.
Participating in reviews and evaluations of designs for compliance with design and manufacturing guidelines and standards, while providing tangible feedback to improve product quality, increase manufacturability, increase ease of assembly, and reduce cost.
