Job Summary

1. Plant & Facility Management  

2. Being a point of contact for customers (FCM Help line) and directing message to relevant staff.

3. Handling office administrative and clerical tasks, such as filing of hard copy (drawings & documents) & soft copy (drawings and document), and spare parts count update.

4. Prepare, record & update daily meeting minutes, assisting team in generating reports and presentations update into department shared drive (whenever required).

5. Responsible to coordinate soft FM (Facilities Management) i.e., canteen operation i.e. audit potable water, general pest control management and cleaning & janitorial works management, private and confidential document disposal coordinator and to be part of Cluster Service Team under Global Real Estate (GR) team members.

6. Responsible to assist on FCM IT and documentation related matter i.e., ITM planner, IdM System, fixed asset coordinator, and SAP system.

7. Responsible for yearly renewal of permitting related to local authorities requirement i.e., quit rent (cukai tanah), tax assessment (cukai taksiran), and other related licenses.

8. Coordinating FCM team members for uniforms, shoes, and event arrangement.

• Production Planning Responsibilities :
  • Perform Rough Production Planning (RPP) for mid & long term up to 12-18 months
  • Review production capacity with manufacturing team
  • Level production according to Leveling guidelines
  • Conversion, release & schedule production orders according to levelling pattern
  • Reschedule planned orders based on possible production
  • Track and follow up production output, sub assembly progress & customer order fulfillment
  • Review leveling adherence and with manufacturing team
  • Drive production to achieve target output & produce the right mix of SKUs and sub assembly
  • Liaise with order planner for any unfulfilled orders
  • Dealing with urgent enquiries from customers
  • Review and update weekly plan/order fulfilment in allocation file
• Materials Planning Responsibilities :
  • Review & maintain MRP parameters (eg Lead time, ROP, Rounding values, Lot size, Planning time fence, Coverage profile, Safety stock, Min-max stock level etc) to ensure automatic planning is running smoothly to achieve optimized stock level
  • Run mini macro for material auto replenishment within warehouses
  • Reschedule SA/PO to supplier based on forecast changes
  • Close follow up & obtain delivery confirmation from suppliers. maintain a material supply visibility of minimum 2-3 months
  • Close follow up & tracking of materials replenishment status, expedite deliveries to support production & customer orders
  • Bottleneck & allocation management for parts in critical shortage.
  • Supplier delivery performance monitoring & improvement
  • Track, monitor & manage material phase-in/out and product EOL. Adjust planning according to product & material life cycle
  • Propose last time build to minimize scrap of excess materials before product phase out
  • Be change leader for product discontinuance CR and follow up until CR closure
  • Frequent review of supplier capacity
  • Inventory management & control according to TCT target. Analyze stock coverage, define & take proactive actions for stock reduction
  • Inventory scrap proposal for no movers & damage stock
  • Work closely with purchasing quality on part return & replacement due to technical issues.
  • Coordinate RTV process for logistics rejects (wrong part / quantity).

• LPV Responsibilities :
  • Act as Logistics team member (LPV) for new launches & ALRs
  • Support samples & pilot runs
  • Attend new project and ALR meetings, contribute actively & work with cross functional team members to achieve timely SOP
  • Attend product launch meeting (PLT) with Launch Manager & update production/delivery status.
  • Analyze feasibility & restrictions to achieve ramp up plan.
  • Ensure materials availability & on time delivery to achieve ramp up plan (RUM)
  • Maintain MM & release pronovia timely & accurately to enable automatic planning.
  • Co-ordinate new material packaging lot size for kanban card preparation before SOP

Job Scope

2.1 Work with system engineer to provide mechanical solution/improvement in new/existing product

• Align with system engineer the SRS, especially the SRS for mechanical components/subsystem
• Derive mechanical design concepts from requirement, evaluate alternative solutions, and document design decisions
• Optimize mechanical design considering component manufacturing process and tool assembly process

2.2 Evaluate, verify and improve design risks and failures related to mechanical domain via FEMA, risk assessment, PSS, DFMA, etc.

• Familiar with product safety and legal requirement, especially mechanical domain related, document the assessment to prove the fulfilment
• Drive the design iteration loop for mechanical domain, i.e. design, prototyping, verification  

2.3 Create and maintain drawings (2D & 3D) with CAD system, part lists (BOM), Technical document (PQA, tol.stack, etc)

• Define PQA, especially the special characteristic acc. to function requirement and tolerance calculation
• Set up 3D&2D and BOM data correctly into related system, follow up and release the mechanical components in SAP

• Execute the governance role of risk management, internal controls and compliance in PT Penang.
• Develop and maintain the risk management system for PT Penang and determine suitable methods for risk assessment, risk treatment, risk monitoring and reporting, risk awareness and training.
• Monitor relevant risks and defined treatments regarding the risk development.
• Guide the management team and the departments to define, specify and regularly update the risk portfolio of PT Penang
• Foster risk awareness through communication and (mandatory) training of the associates and managers in PT Penang.
