Media Studio is a modern department providing a comprehensive medical illustration service in a dynamic and expanding environment.

The clinical photography team photographs a large number of patients in our studios, and in wards and departments of the hospital, as well as public relations photography for the Trust and other organisations on and off the site. Media Studio also provides video production, graphic design and print services in a friendly, collaborative and productive environment.

Duties primarily are clinical and ophthalmic photography, but may also include general and PR photography, video production. You will ideally have a degree in clinical photography or equivalent qualification and/ or experience, be proficient in the use of current photographic equipment and image processing software, and be able to demonstrate good photographic skills and a high degree of attention to detail. You will be expected to work in offsite hubs covering Teledermatology photography as well as work as part of a team of photographers on the Addenbrooke’s site covering histopathology, clinical and ophthalmic photography.

Role purpose / summary
The Customs Declaration Service (CDS) is the United Kingdom (UK) government's electronic system for handling customs declaration processes. It supports the UK's trade with the European Union (EU) and the rest of the world. CDS allows traders to complete customs information electronically which is then used to process declarations for goods entering and leaving the UK.
CDS will fully replace the existing Customs Handling of Import/Export Freight (CHIEF) system for processing declarations to facilitate the international movement of goods between the UK and other countries and import declarations have already been successfully migrated from CHIEF to CDS. CHIEF will continue to run for a time to aid the transition to CDS ('dual running').
CDS is an agile delivery organised into an overarching programme which directs each of the workstreams. The B&T (Borders and Trade) Business Engagement & Intelligence Team (BEIT) facilitates Software developers and their clients to technically prepare to migrate across to CDS. This requires organised and conformant test data to enable both internal test teams and external software developers to test their software. The BEIT aim through the proficient and timely management of test data into the target environments for release and incident testing.
What Technologies are they required to know:

• Have basic data management skill or understanding of how it works.
• Mandatory Technical Skills:
• Good understanding of SQL (preferably Oracle) and ability to write scripts for data lookups/manipulation.

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Craft, Design & Technology Teacher to join our busy Technologies Faculty in Queensferry High School.

This is a six-year comprehensive school in the North West Locality of the City of Edinburgh Council. The catchment area of the school covers Queensferry, Dalmeny, Echline and Kirkliston Primary Schools, as well as St Margaret’s RC Primary School at parent/carer request. A few years ago we moved into our brand new school with excellent new resources and commanding views of the Forth Estuary (including the three bridges). The school roll is over 1,100 and rising.

We have a strong ethos at Queensferry High School and are proud to create an atmosphere and learning environment which prepares young people with the knowledge and skills for a successful adult life. Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

What's the Ideal Candidate's Background?

You have deep experience in a digital agency, performance marketing creative ad agency, or an internal creative department as a graphic designer producing direct response static and video ads for social media channels.

You are an expert with the entire adobe suite. Your creativity and editing have resulted in MILLIONS of digital media spending; you thrive on persuasive storytelling. You were born with the "gut feeling" to utilise GFX, sound design, and brilliant editorial pacing to nail the hook, agitate the problem, and deliver the thought-provoking concept and CTA in a way that compels a viewer to click and buy.

What Will You Be Working On?

Performance-First Editing – We are an ad department vs. a content department. Your #1 priority is to create ads that sell. That means you've got the experience to tell a good story while weaving persuasive elements to capture, encourage, and motivate a customer to act right now. You aren't the type of individual who chooses the first scroll you see on a search; instead, you sweat until you find the sound, image, and textual element that builds the most compelling story.

Creating multiple variations of ads for Media Optimisation – We make variations of the first 2-5 seconds to provide extended reach to new audience groups. You will give new "Thumb-Stops" (or first 2-3 seconds) along with other variations (i.e., cut-downs) for flexible and efficient testing. If an advertisement scales, we will make this a priority. This is the fun part. When this happens, you know your ads are producing substantial revenue for the company.

Always Learning, Always Growing, Always Contributing – Every media channel has its own unique "native" look and feel. You will be expected to understand the nuances of each channel so your ad can hit the highest conversion metrics. (i.e., TikTok is a very different experience than Facebook).

Competitive Research, Customer Persona, and Media Metrics – We are not looking for an assembly-line editor. We want a right-brain/left-brain creative. That means you invest the time to research and emulate our competition and become intimately aware of our customer persona so you can create an empathetic storyline. In addition, we do something most in-house creative teams never do. We teach you how to analyze the media metrics to see where your advertisements are winning and falling short. Based on the data, you will be expected to participate in Media/Creative calls to contribute ideas for enhancing creativity.

Requirements

3+ Years Creative Marketing Agency or Internal Creative Department with a focus on paid media (advertising spend)
Technical Expertise – Complete understanding of post-production workflow. Expert-level experience using Adobe's Full suite, including After Effects & Photoshop. Bonus points for expert level in Cinema4D (or equivalent).
Organisational Rockstar – You love personal optimisation. This means you will collaborate with the team to make life more efficient, more enjoyable, and more effective through the utilisation of project management software and through tools and applications that can make our virtual experience more streamlined.
Expert Collaborator - You will ensure projects are on course and communication with our creative coordinator is clear through daily touch points and updating your tasks within our project management software.
