As a Director, Implementation Services, you will report to the Vice President of Plan Services, which consists of Implementation, Shared, and Systems & Data Services and is an extremely fast-paced and dynamic department. The work requires a great deal of flexibility, attention to detail and quality is paramount given the group level exposure. As a Leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes. The position partners across the organization with various departments, levels and our field force to serve our annuity and mutual fund group clients.
- Provides leadership and direction for institutional level onboarding projects.
- The position partners across the organization with various departments, levels and our field force to serve our annuity and mutual fund group clients.
- Primary functions are high impact/high exposure and include the following group level functions: plan setups, plan terminations, fund exchanges, plan documents, amendments, agreements, plan changes, platform changes, and new business activities.
- Maintaining readiness metrics and supporting senior management through data driven decisions, information dashboards, and executive level reporting.
- Implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and quality of work generated by your teams.
- Monitor Implementation capabilities to ensure market competitiveness
- Consult with business area senior leaders to identify core business objectives, gauge existing business performance, identify performance gaps and develop strategies to close those gaps.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and instruction to Business Champions, Black Belts, Green Belts, and team members across a portfolio of business improvement initiatives.
- Be a change agent and work to instill a culture of diversity and thought leadership throughout the organization.
What we are looking for
- Proven leadership and management capabilities
- Process management and workflow improvement experience
- Understanding of the group mutual fund/annuity business offered within Defined Contribution Plans
- Ability to manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously involving various business units and levels within the organization
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Strong negotiation and decision making skills
- Previous sales presentation skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and visioning on future functionality required to remain competitive
- 7+ years of Implementation administration
- 7+ years of management experience
- 5 years of leading a project based team preferably in transition services for defined contribution plans
