The Role
APCO has an opportunity for a Project Assistant, Public Affairs, to join our growing office in Singapore.
The Project Assistant is primarily responsible for day-to-day client work under the daily supervision of a more senior team member. The Project Assistant plays a key role in the coordination of account activity and will perform a variety of tasks including research and analysis, issues monitoring and mapping and preparing summary reports to support the client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the development and implementation of comprehensive government relations strategies tailored to the unique political and regulatory landscapes of Southeast Asian countries.
· Provide day-to-day support to client projects by producing quality client deliverables (i.e. issue monitoring report, policy research and analysis memo, briefing materials, etc.) and conducting stakeholder outreach under minimal supervision of senior managers
· Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in Southeast Asian countries to identify opportunities and risks for clients and advise accordingly.
· Support client meetings, presentations, and workshops.
· Collaborate closely with internal teams to integrate strategies for stakeholder engagement strategies into overall client external communication and advocacy efforts.
· Support thought leadership initiatives on relevant platforms in the Southeast Asian market, positioning clients as leaders in their respective industries.
· Maintain self-driven passion and actively develop knowledge of client issues and related industry trends, establish relationships with key opinion leaders, participate in industry networking events and inform team leaders of potential new business opportunities
· Support the team in efficiently producing and refining high caliber written materials, including customized messaging, briefings, analytical reports and whitepapers, amongst others.
· Support the team in coordinating and logistical support for workshops, roundtables, meetings and relevant events.
The ideal candidate will be/have:
· Graduates and individuals with up to 2 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or related fields.
· Knowledge in Healthcare, Sustainability, Supply Chain, or International Trade will be an added advantage.
· Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, or related field.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with government officials and stakeholders at all levels.
· Proficiency in English; proficiency in additional Southeast Asian languages is a plus
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with withstrong experience with Singapore public sector, Singapore ministries and/or statutory boards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing projects and understand fully the Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC) environment as well as the Singapore Government Tech Stack (SGTS). This role requires expertise in proposal writing, presales activities, and the ability to communicate effectively in both Mandarin and English.
The responsibilities include:

The remit of the team is to review and consider all options to meet Care Act eligible needs that promote and maximise independence, wellbeing, inclusion, and control.

The Supported Living Review Team are looking for a Business Relations Officer to support the functioning of the team. You will be a valued member of the team who will support the Team Manager daily to collate, report and analyse data compiled by the team's review activity.
The successful candidate will be responsible daily for completing business support related activities for the team including preparing for and minute taking for team, operational and strategic meetings. Another aspect of the role will require the successful candidate in liaising and responding to queries by providers before, during or following a review carried out by the team. We are looking for someone who is proactive and can assist in resolving queries from providers prior, during or following a review.
Having experience in recording minute taking for high level meetings would be required and we would require someone who is confident in this aspect of the tole. Due to the nature of the team being a project and large amounts of data is currently being compiled, it would be an advantage if the successful candidate has knowledge and understanding of MS Teams and Excel. However, as long as there is a willingness to learn all appropriate training will be provided.

This position is a system focal point for implementing and managing employee relations programs and initiatives. Individuals in this role are considered subject matter experts in one or more areas of employment practice and serve as a primary resource to the rest of the Employee Relations Team where matters of their focal area are involved. Investigates and resolves employee relations concerns impacting the work environment. Role provides multiple facility managers and Human Resources Consultants with counsel and support in employee relations investigations to include compliance with equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, training and development, and compliance with State and the Joint Commission human resources standards.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses situations and environments affecting employee relations, and provides leaders, HR and ERC team members with advice and recommended courses of action based on operating guidelines, policies and applicable federal and state laws.
2. Reviews and analyzes facility employee and operational statistics on HR compliance related concerns, complaint investigations, external charges, comply line trends, turnover, and employee engagement to identify trends, activities, and potential issues within each department.
3. Provides timely assistance in addressing manager/employee requests or complaints, and keeps involved parties informed about status. Role requires recording and trending of data to aid in formulating conclusions.
4. Maintains required documentation within case management system; including intake and investigative notes, supporting documents and final reports. Inputs all complaints and investigation resolution into assigned spreadsheet.
5. Specializes in one or more areas of employment practices related to Human Resources regulations such as EEO, Affirmative Action, ADA, etc. and acts as a primary resource for staff and leaders. Acts as a primary resource for recommending investigatory plans of action; consults as a subject matter expert on issues relating to their area of expertise.
6. Plays a key role in the following functional areas including but not limited to: investigation and documentation of Position Statements required in partnership with Legal and Regulatory in responding to external EEOC, CCRD and DOL charges brought forward by current and former employees, leaders and Providers; evaluation and assessment of ADA accommodations and placements, and complex Leave of Absence scenarios system-wide; evaluation and assessment of complicated Provider claims and investigations; development of Employee Relations specific training for leaders, Human Resources staff and employees to ensure consistency and compliance within regulatory requirements and related policies and procedures.
7. Stays abreast of activities in other areas of Human Resources, industry trends, and positively and reliably represents all of HR to facility staff and managers. Appropriately conveys concerns and issues to stakeholders.
8. Collaborates with all HR teams to enhance and facilitate performance improvement, maintain effective communication between all areas of HR and entity operations and to develop and implement system, region, entity and department level goals and objectives.
9. Interacts with all levels of management and employees, often relaying highly sensitive messages, coaching and counseling managers in appropriate application of programs and policies, and dealing with highly complex, and sometimes emotional situations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency level typically gained through a combination of a four year degree in Human Resources, Management, Business, or related field along with several years of increasingly responsible work experience in HR.
Requires five to seven years as Human Resources generalist with experience in employment law, conflict resolution, employee relations, and general Human Resources management. Needs basic familiarity with principles of compensation, recruiting, and organizational development. Needs effective interviewing skills, with attention to detail, accuracy, deadlines, and confidentiality. Able to communicate effectively and with sensitivity about employee issues. Requires proven ability to analyze complex situations considering multiple factors. Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations, perform research and accurately document findings to support the company’s position is required. An ability to communicate effectively formally and informally in small and large groups, including making executive level presentations; understanding of organization and facility operations; highly developed business case development and project management skills.
PC skills including working knowledge of the Microsoft environment and the ability to access, manipulate, organize and relay information in a meaningful way. Demonstrated ability to deal with personal and highly confidential information in a professional manner. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) designation preferred. Past experience in health care environment highly desirable. Experience in one of the key focal areas preferred; may include ADA practices, Provider case Investigations, Employment law and External Charge investigations and education development.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
