The Associate Director of the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (OSCCS) for Student Behavior and Development reports to the Director of OSCCS and serves as a member of the office’s leadership team with supervisory and program lead responsibilities. The Associate Director supports the collaborative development, management, and evaluation of the university’s student conduct system and cases arising out of the Code on a campus of 24,000 students and over 1,000 student organizations, including a robust Greek life presence. This position leads all aspects of the conduct process related to individual students, including case management and resolution options (investigation and adjudication, alternative dispute resolution, including restorative practices), and partners with the Associate Director for Group Behavior and Development in all aspects of the conduct process related to student organizations. In this work, the Associate Director utilizes an educational and restorative approach in managing and resolving student conduct concerns. The Associate Director also leads collateral areas of OSCCS, including departmental assessment, the development of all educational, alternative, and restorative resolution options, and departmental communications. Additionally, the Associate Director serves in an Administrator On-call rotation, responding to crisis-related situations after-hours as needed.

The Chef Instructor Teaching Support Specialist (TSS) is responsible for both restaurant and lab course operations. As such, the TSS interacts daily with individual students in both large and small groups to teach the practical hands-on aspects of food and beverage operations. The TSS will guide students through the process of synthesizing skills, concepts, and theories learned in the classroom that are utilized daily to operate a full service restaurant or to successfully complete a culinary or beverage management lab section. This includes all elements of professional food handling and preparation as well as beverage service considerations for both the front and back of house. The TSS is expected to work with faculty in presenting and teaching goals and objectives of course curriculum. Knowledge of course material, good communication and platform skills are essential to be an effective teacher. The TSS is responsible for supervising all students while managing lab sections and/or operating a restaurant as part of an instructional team.
Meeting administrative goals pertaining to course expenses and logistics are required.
Required Qualifications:
A two year culinary degree and a four year hospitality degree with five years of food service experience, which includes a minimum of three years of supervisory food service experience. A high level of culinary knowledge and technical skill is strongly desired. Current awareness of culinary and restaurant trends is necessary. Knowledge of current food service sanitation requirements and food safety standard operating procedures is required. Knowledge of food and beverage management systems and controls is expected. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and adaptability with scheduling of hours including nights and weekends in support of course and operational responsibilities is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
As a member of the Nolan School of Hotel Administration’s Instructional Support Department, a Teaching Support Specialist is responsible for a range of instructional support for the school’s food and beverage management area course offerings. These responsibilities include operational, administrative and laboratory elements. Additional responsibilities require the TSS to be proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic purchasing systems for multiple products and services. Food safety and TIPS certification preferred.

The professional in this role functions as a transfer course evaluation and equivalency determination expert and provides leadership to a small team of staff specializing in domestic and international Credit Evaluation Services, including prior learning experiences.
Providing leadership to vision and improve system technologies used by the Registrar's Office and all schools/colleges, academic departments, and administrative units, including TES and transcript OCR software.
Collaborate with school/college representatives, advisors, faculty, and university committees related to test and transfer credit.
Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining credit transfer policy and articulation agreements. Assist with instructing others on the application of articulation processes.
Coordinate accurate and timely maintenance and processing of student enrollment and records updates in the student information system (SIS).
Demonstrate a passion and commitment for exploring and implementing strategies that contribute to the sustained development of the Office of the University Registrar staff.
Build rapport and establish and maintain professional relationships with school/college representatives to continually enhance the student experience and support the teaching and learning mission of the institution.

Familiarity with standard office software packages and reporting tools.

The Opportunity
The Registrar Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting academic records, compliance, course planning, course enrollment, and grade reporting across Bowers CIS's three departments: computer science, information science, and statistics and data science. Reporting to the Deputy Registrar, this role also provides operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of registrar office operations.
Responsibilities:
This is a full-time, 3-year term (39 hours/week) endowed position that is based in Ithaca, NY. This position follows a 3:2 campus-to-home hybrid work arrangment that is subject to change at any time. About the Department of Linguistics
The Department of Linguistics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, is a small social science department with 13 1/3 tenure-track faculty, 3 staff members, and 4 labs for linguistic research. Faculty members are responsible for teaching over 30 courses each year. The graduate field has approximately 40 students, the major has approximately 35 undergraduates, and the minor is growing with approximately 30 students. The research and teaching interests of faculty and graduate students include historical linguistics, phonetics, phonology, syntax, semantics, computational linguistics, field research, and experimental linguistics, and collaborations happen with a variety of departments across campus. What You Will Do
Provide independent high-level support in areas of accounting, budget oversight, royalty distribution, administrative and reporting. This includes all areas of financial obligation and contract compliance for license agreements entered into by the Center for Technology Licensing (CTL).

Some licensees have multiple contracts for different technologies; others have one contract that covers multiple technologies, and some technologies are under contract to more than one licensee. The Accounts Rep must be able correctly interpret the available data and make critical decisions to manage the daily accounting processes.
The Accounts Rep must independently review and prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines, they will need to constantly review critical data elements and identify and correct missing or erroneous data. They also must be knowledgeable of best practices and identify, recommend, and implement modifications to improve office efficiency and effectiveness.
This position will frequently be assigned special projects and be expected to present findings, conclusions and/or recommendations in a useful format for management. The Accounts Rep must be able to conduct historical research, locate appropriate files and reports and present an accurate accounting.

Associate’s degree with 2 – 4 years’ experience in a fast-paced accounting office including experience in account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable processing, or equivalent combination.
Accounts Rep must prioritize daily tasks and meet deadlines. With minimal supervision, manage workflow and work independently on tasks, identify potential problems, consider various courses of action and notify supervisor of complex problems that arise and proposed course of action when appropriate. Use standard work policies and/or established procedures as a guide to activities but will be expected to use initiative and sound judgement to resolve unique processing and procedural issues.

Incentive Program
In addition to the base salary, you will be eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive program in accordance with the eCornell Corporate Programs Plan (“Plan”) parameters. As Inside Director, SMB of Enterprise Programs, you will be eligible to earn a target of $50,000 in variable compensation based on annual sales quotas in your assigned territory.
