The role is part of a small and friendly team, reporting to the Senior Programme manager for strategic delivery, and working closely with the Heads of Strategy and change teams embedded in directorates across the Trust. The role can work remotely, or from the Trusts headquarters at Littlemore, Oxford. We support flexible working and welcome a conversation to discuss options that work for you. The delivery of the Trust strategic portfolio contains several programmes which require monitoring, scheduling, and delivery. The Strategic PMO Manager is key to the oversight and monitoring of programme delivery, to bring about successful change throughout the organisation. The post holder will work with the Senior Programme Manager - Strategic Delivery to design an approach to manage the portfolio of strategic programmes across the Trust to ensure strategic fit and delivery of the Trust strategic plan. This includes identifying scope, SROs and key deliverables for each strategic programme and embedding these across the directorates and corporate team within the Trust. They will be responsible for ensuring that all strategic programmes adhere to the required Trust governance frameworks, to provide assurance that the programmes being delivered throughout the organisation are in line with the strategic objectives and priorities of the Trust. The post holder will need to be autonomous, conscientious, meticulous, and always act in a professional and confidential manner. This post calls for a highly motivated individual who can work unsupervised, using their own initiative, prioritising their own workload, dealing with several complex issues at one time and working under pressure. Meticulous time management and prioritisation skills are required as well as the ability to work autonomously to respond to problems and queries from stakeholders including project leads, stakeholders, and the Executive Leadership Team. Within programmes, the post holder will be required to both provide and receive highly complex information that will often be sensitive or contentious, through the planning and engagement processes pertaining to the wider transformation life cycle. As such the post holder will be required to manage these issues in a professional manner, adapting communication styles to suit the stakeholders or forum in which the messages are being provided.
