Client Management

• Initialize and lead the IT program
• Establish rules for collaboration between program and projects in the program to derive benefits
• Understand the unit’s business needs and derives the larger benefits to be implemented by the program
• Ensures that the scope of each project is defined, completed, communicated and agreed and its share to the programs overall objectives understood
• Establish the program management plan based on the program charter, integrating lessons learned from other projects / programs
• Make certain that there are effective risk identification processes in place and that the key risks are mitigated and opportunities taken
• An agreed quality plan has been developed based on appropriate standards, it is communicated and the right behaviours are in place
• Establish a formal process for controlling changes to the programs scope and communicate this to the Programs stakeholders
• Enable leaders to govern with confidence, making timely decisions using high quality management information
• Develop a realistic business case subjected to an appropriate level of challenge with benefits clearly defined, owned and Tracked
• Motivate the program's project teams and support the availability of the right blend of skills and personalities for the programs projects with business consulting
• Manages all aspects of the project to reach project success based on the project goal
• Contribute to the development and improvement of a project management methodology
• Support knowledge communities and contribute to knowledge exchange

 

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary leader to fill a senior leadership role in our developing nanomaterials business. Working out of our Brisbane City head office, this individual will be responsible for driving profitable revenue growth of PPK Group’s nanomaterial subsidiaries, which have significant market potential across multiple industries and geographies.
This will require expert discovery and exploration of new and untapped applications, existing and new business opportunities, and management of industry relationships. This will involve securing independent application product trials with industry partnerships and collaborations with the goal of developing a commercial outcome. The ideal candidate is experienced and passionate about taking cutting edge nanomaterial products to new markets.
This role will require travel to our existing production facilities to gain a thorough understanding of our manufacturing process, production output, and the market potential of nanomaterials as a key component in various product applications. This individual will also be required to travel to customers and attend relevant conferences and trade shows with the intention of raising market awareness, increasing exposure, and developing industry relationships.
In this leadership role at PPK Group, the primary duties will be to plan, develop and implement commercial strategies with the main goal of supporting and accelerating growth. We expect this individual to have an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset and to lead by example.
As this role is part of PPK Group, it requires this individual to perform such reasonable tasks that are required, as and when necessary, to maintain, promote, develop and expand the business of our organisation and its interests as a whole.
Reporting to the PPK Group CEO, this role will be responsible for driving the agreed upon go-to-market strategy with the key leaders of the subsidiaries and will be accountable for the delivery of key revenue performance objectives.
Key responsibilities
• Set, own, and drive a global nanomaterial go-to-market strategy and execution
• Develop new-business proposals and presentations that create and nurture opportunities and partnerships
• Assess changing market situations and respond accordingly by guiding team towards strategies that ensure optimal performance and profitability of the company, while adhering to the company’s environmental, social, and governance policies
• Build and manage nanomaterial and business development team as agreed with governance committee
• Provide day-to-day direction of nanomaterials business development team, and direct and endorse strategy to fulfil objectives, achieve specific goals, and maximise profit
• Consult with broader team, including R&D leads, and departmental heads on matters such as operational efficiencies, WHS matters, and impact to nanomaterials development
• Represent the nanomaterials organisation at official industry and market functions and conventions
• Work closely with the technical and R&D team to develop new applications with commercial potential, which will be based on customer feedback
• Identify trends and customer needs, building a sales pipeline for short/medium/long term growth in accordance with targets set by key leadership
• Prepare and present reports, budgets and forecasts in line with corporate guidelines, timetables, and present to necessary governance committees
• Collaborate with the Legal team to define and deliver contracting framework
• Create marketing, pre-sales and pitch content
• Negotiate with customers within agreed upon parameters
• Build product definition(s)

What we are looking for
• Able to comprehend the science behind our nanomaterial products in order to be successful in commercial representation, development, and engagement
• Prior international experience in building new businesses from laboratory results to production scale and commercial outcomes in different industries and segments
• Leverage our existing international network and expand it to facilitate new global commercial opportunities
• Build positive working relationships with our key scientists and researchers so they can assist where required in the commercial process
• Driven and dedicated to pursuing, growing and closing new deals through various sales methods, including cold calls and inbound warm leads
• Proven record of growing and delivering a sustainable sales pipeline for optimal growth
• Establish and foster long-term relationships with stakeholders
• Understand the requirements of existing customers to identify further commercial opportunities and possible new product offerings aligned with customer needs and company strategy
• Adept at working across a diverse cultural team in different time zones
• Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, including experience with board engagement
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages

Salary range of $185,000 to $200,000.
