The Role and the Department
The School of Education has an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) Partnership team to support the delivery of our professional teacher training programmes. Working under the direction of the Partnership Coordinator and ITE Partnership Manager, the post holder will have a key role in supporting the admissions process for ITE student recruitment as well as providing administration for student placements in schools.
Responsibilities include organisation of over 100 applicant interview days across the year, processing of DBS applications, document checking, data entry, liaising with applicants regarding bursaries and responding to queries from current students and partnership schools. The post holder will form an important part of the relationship between the School of Education and its School Partners, and they will work with a broad range of colleagues across the School, the wider university and in our schools network, as well as students and applicants.
The successful candidate will be able to not only maintain but also to develop and implement processes and systems to support the work of the School. Experience of administration in the education sector will be an advantage and candidates must possess exceptional organisational abilities and outstanding communication and customer service skills.

Job description
To provide administrative support to the Force, in particular with respect of Learning & Development, ensuring efficient and effective administration services.
Booking of all courses to ensure the most effective use of training resource and training requests within financial regulations.
To ensure the new courses are set up and current course information is maintained including spread sheets, competencies, skills, aims and objectives.
To support the development and promotion of a range of initiatives including talent management, training, and professional development.
To maintain a record of Taser usage and provide relevant management information and reports, as requested.
Assist in the production of documentation as required, ensuring accurate and grammatically correct reporting of key information.
Respond and deal with enquiries on the telephone, via e-mail and face to face with internal departments and external agencies.
To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the information held within the Force systems through regular audit and checking procedures.
To disseminate reports and information across the Force
Organise, schedule and attend events/meetings/resources including equipment, people and systems, as directed
· Finance
o To be cost effective in all contracts and purchasing undertaken in the department.
o Proactively look to take cost out of department / business through efficiency and automation.

o Compliance with the force's policies and procedures
o Ensure the delivery of effective customer and support service in line with any agreed service standards.
