Our freight forward client in Hayes is looking for an Export Clerk to join their team
You will be a valued member of the operations, serving their clients across various industries
Whether you are experienced or new to the Industry, full training is provided
This is a full time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm position, working within our clients Hayes office
Your role as an Export Clerk: You will be responsible for seamlessly creating, overseeing, and maintaining freight shipments through the Cargowise system. Prepare and manage all necessary documents related to air freight shipments, including bills of lading, air waybills, customs forms, and certificates of origin. Facilitate the customs clearance process, ensuring compliance with export regulations and liaising with customs authorities Maintain effective communication with clients, carriers and handling agents to ensure smooth freight operations Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing shipment status updates, and offering solutions to customer concerns About you - you will have: Previous experience in an operational role within logistics - desirable Proven experience in effectively managing business-to-business (B2B) customer relationships A good knowledge of Import or/and Export processes, particularly in airfreight would be advantageous A high attention to detail with the ability to prioritise and manage workload Due to the nature of the role a full 5 year background and DBS check is required
