This role will play a key part in the development and safe delivery of 0-5 services, utilising best available evidence to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people especially those from disadvantaged groups. To support the development of the Coventry Health Visiting service, working in partnership with other Family Health & Lifestyle services including School Nursing, Be Active Be Healthy, Infant feeding, Stop Smoking in Pregnancy teams and MAMTA. The Local Authority, Partner agencies, Early Help and voluntary sector agencies. To act as a role model and be professional at all times adhering to the current NMC Code. To support the delivery of 0-5 Universal Services as well as the Healthy Child Programme. To support and assist Health Visitors and Community Nursery Nurses within skill mix teams. To participate in the development of skill mix within the 0-5 Health Visiting service. To participate in Health Education programmes and health promotion activities on a multi-disciplinary basis as agreed by the 0-5 services in partnership with external agencies. We have an exciting opportunity for a band 5 nurse to gain experience in the area of Community Mental Health in the Coventry Community Mental Health Team. The team works with service users with psychotic and non-psychotic illnesses across the city of Coventry and are based at Swanswell Point.

The successful applicant will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team including other nurses to deliver recovery focused interventions in the community. This includes key working and generic roles in the team such as office duty as well as specific nursing tasks such as supporting our range of clinics, therapy and group interventions. We encourage staff to bring their own ideas to meet patient needs, and have regular service development sessions to encourage ongoing development. You will receive extensive support and supervision from the Management and Leadership team.

We utilise the Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (Fact) and Recovery models to deliver multi-disciplinary care to our service users, this supports staff in managing the complex range of challenges our patient group face.
