Position Summary:

The Indirect Tax Analyst at NIQ enhances our Indirect Tax Support team within the Global Finance Operations. Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in indirect tax, preferably within finance operations environment or multinational corporation.
• Tax Knowledge: Knowledge of indirect tax regulations and reporting requirements across various jurisdictions.
• Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of analyzing complex tax data and identifying compliance issues.

About this Team:

This team provides 24x7 support and management of Problems. Ensure the Problem Management meets its goals and SLA/OLAs for the clients.

What he will be doing: 

• Ensure all Problem Investigations and Known Errors are managed effectively through the Problem Management lifecycle and are documented accurately in the Service Management Toolset.
• Attend Post Incident Reviews as required and ensure that any actions are captured and related to the appropriate Problem record(s)

What your day would be like

Regulatory monitoring and reporting:

• Responsible for daily MAS and SGX regulatory monitoring including analysis of ratios
• Responsible for weekly and fortnightly MAS reporting and submission and SGX weekly credit facilities reporting and submission.

Financial and management reporting:

• Responsible for performing month-end closing controls
• Perform in-depth analysis on financial performance/key metrics and prepare reports for local management and business lines
• Support manager in other controls and governance, statutory and other audits of entities
• Responsible for accounts payable function, including oversight of outsourced Procure-to-pay function

ALM and tax reporting:

• Contribute to the ALCO deck preparation
• Responsible for preparation of quarterly GST reporting for entities
• Contribute to annual corporate income tax return and transfer pricing document preparation

Academic Background and Certifications, Experience:

• University degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the banking industry
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting in the banking industry would be an advantage
• Candidates with external audit experience in financial sector are welcomed to apply

Operational Skills:

About the team

 

Compliance Analyst II is a member of FIS Business Risk department. The Analyst is responsible for supporting the international business to ensure compliance with internal and external Anti-Money Laundering and Trade Control Policies.

 

The role involves working in an international environment to perform daily monitoring, analytical and investigative activities, recurring reporting to Senior Management/Compliance as well as various ad-hoc tasks in the areas of AML/trading policy, audit support and inquiries from other business teams. The role also provides opportunities to participate in projects, as required.

 

What you will be doing:

Analyze and investigate trade reports for any breaches in trading policy (market timing/late trading/short-term trading).
Report and escalate identified breaches to Senior Management and/or Sales and recommend solutions
Review and refresh KYC documentation of corporate clients
Investigate suspicious activity and report findings
Perform name screening of clients against sanction and black lists on Bridger Insight XG and other screening systems as well as required investigation of the potential matches
Monitor transactions for suspicious activities from AML perspective, perform investigations and escalations of findings
Manage daily enquiries on AML and Trade Control related matters from other business teams
Assist in audits/regulatory requests
Participate in projects including testing and implementation of system upgrades
Assist in designing and developing new controls across all covered activities
Collaborate with International Global Risk & Control team members In Luxembourg and India

 

What you bring:

AML, Internal Controls, Audit and/or Risk Analysis experience would be an asset
Project Management experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree
AML, Compliance or Internal Controls certifications considered as an asset 
Advanced skills in the use of Excel and Access required
Excellent written and verbal communication in English and interpersonal skills
