What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for a Procurement Technician II. This role will provide services and deliverables through performance of support services. This is a full-time opportunity located in Rockville, MD.
Develop the RML Purchasing Agents with follow up calls to vendors to clarify various questions on invoices, ACH information, and discrepancies in shipments and receiving documents.
Document purchasing files with receiving documentation.
Process incoming and outgoing mail.
Assist Purchasing Agents with preparation of statement of work, justifications, and post solicitations on FedBizOps.
Work with end-users to resolve any and all problems with orders, including check status of orders placed, arrange returns if necessary, and follow-up to assure receiving is entered timely and invoices are paid promptly; communicate directly with scientists on all issues.
Document all files on issues regarding an order either by preparing a memorandum to the file or through emails regarding the issue at hand.
Enter data into spreadsheets for purchasing files, utilizing Microsoft Excel.
File procurement documentation and purchase orders.
Enter all data into both SAI and DCIS reporting systems for each order in accordance with regulations.
Maintain all purchase order files, both current and closed.
Perform purchase order closeout; dispose of records in accordance with GSA and NIH records disposition schedules; assure that all files are complete and in order and final payment has been made before closing out.
Process travel orders for RML Purchasing staff, including generating travel orders and vouchers upon return for prompt closeout and in accordance with all travel regulations; make all arrangements through the NIH Travel Coordinator for hotels, rental cars, and airline tickets for RML AMOB staff.
What You Will Need:
Associate’s degree OR High School Diploma or equivalent plus four (4) years of experience in a related field.
MS Office Suite
Knowledge of database management.

This professional will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving the quality of data used for spend analysis and reporting for our organization. OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT
The Water Warehouse group supports numerous functions across Aurora Water. This includes but is not limited to, raw water conveyance, water treatment functions, stormwater infrastructure improvements, and Wastewater functions. Within these functions, the Water Warehouse Technician is responsible for parts procurement and delivery.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares and processes requests for materials and supplies
Maintains computer inventory of parts and supplies
Orders materials and parts
Monitors daily purchasing activities and expenditures
Maintains records
Performs costing related to work orders containing parts and materials
Frequently drives and operates city vehicles and equipment
Locates and acquires equipment and supplies
Performs physical inventory, quarterly inventory, and monthly cycle counts
Researches out of count conditions
Coordinates the acquisition and delivery/pick-up of parts to job sites
Unloads delivered materials and checks the accuracy of orders
Maintains clean stock areas both inside and outside
Performs additional duties as required
Special Order research and acquisition
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Will be confirmed through market study
Experience:
At least two (2) years progressively responsible experience in material and equipment procurement and maintenance with some experience utilizing a computer-based inventory and project tracking database system
Experience in a water utility environment is preferred
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of utility materials and equipment; and purchasing and contract procedures
Experience with inventory software is preferred
