What is the role about?

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented QA Manager to lead our team responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality exam questions for a new high-profile service. As a QA Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, validity, and reliability of our assessment content. Main Responsibilities

• To assist the team in the smooth, safe and efficient running of the kitchen operation.
• Assist with all food preparations as delegated by the senior chefs

Who you are

Wader populations have declined dramatically across the UK in recent decades. The RSPB and its partners are working to try and reverse these declines in Norfolk and Suffolk. Farmers and land managers play a crucial role in creating and improving habitats for iconic species such as Lapwing and Redshank, with the support of experienced advisers. Could this be you? Are you inspired by the challenge of restoring populations of our precious farmland wildlife across two nationally important landscapes? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
We are looking for a new Wet Grassland Adviser to work with landowners across the Norfolk Broads and Suffolk Coast to deliver habitat design, creation and improvement projects aimed at breeding waders, but with benefits for a range of other wetland wildlife. The post holder will work closely with our local RSPB team. They will identify opportunities and work with landowners to improve grassland habitats for species such as Lapwing, Redshank, Avocet and Oystercatcher. This will be delivered by carrying out site visits, liaising with the landowner to ensure the needs of and benefits to the farm business are incorporated, suggesting improvements to water level management, developing grazing schemes, and developing funding applications with landowners. The role will also involve liaising with partners including Natural England, Norfolk and Suffolk Wildlife Trusts, National Trust, the Broads Authority and the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape.
The Wet Grassland Adviser will play a key role in supporting farmers and land managers to improve wet grassland habitats for nature, including through:

Building partnerships with and between landowners, NGOs and other stakeholders
Providing advice to farm businesses with new and existing agri-environment scheme agreements
Designing habitat enhancement schemes which benefit breeding waders (with support from other staff)
Managing a team of volunteers carrying out breeding wader surveys
Developing communications and organising events for land managers to build support and share experience

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

Demonstrable experience of conservation and/or agricultural land management, or of providing landowner advice
Demonstrate an understanding of the farmed environment and the economics driving it.
Excellent knowledge of wet grassland ecology and general natural history, with a focus on breeding waders.
In depth experience of agri-environment schemes (e.g. Countryside Stewardship, Environmental Land Management Schemes) and their application.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentational) - including an ability to speak confidently in public to a variety of audiences.
Demonstrable experience of engaging with the farming community.
Experience of building productive relationships with land managers and partner organisations.
Ability to manage volunteers and set clear work priorities.
Competent user of core MS Office programmes.
Ability to travel and work flexibly; able to drive in the UK as sites may not be served by public transport.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

A good understanding of hydrology and water level management techniques, although on the job training and support will be provided.
Ability to carry out wetland bird surveys.
Competency in use of GIS.

This project is funded by the Government's Species Survival Fund. The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency.
This is a fixed-term role for 37.5 hours per week until 28 February 2026. The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.
The role holder will be primarily home based with travel throughout the Norfolk Broads and Suffolk Coast.

Your Year as an Employment Advisor:

As an Employment Advisor within Reed in Partnership you could be working with any range of jobseekers who have (in most cases) been referred to Reed by local authorities to help get them back in to employment. These could include individuals such as ex-convicts, family unit referrals and job centre referrals, for example. You will be assigned a caseload of jobseekers and targeted on placing them into jobs with local businesses.

To achieve your goals you’ll need to be self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient, as well as possess exceptional interpersonal and mediation skills. The role can be very demanding and emotionally challenging at times so only apply if you are up for the challenge! Those who do secure roles with us though find the role highly rewarding.

Not only would you be joining an exciting, high-performing team working on our Welfare-to-Work contracts, but you will also be inducted into the wider Reed Group as part of our three-year Graduate Scheme. This will give you opportunities to explore other business functions and management routes as you enter your second and third years with Reed.

By now you will have developed invaluable skills that can be transferred into a whole range of career avenues.

You could work your way up to management through our Career Development Framework which rewards those who deliver on targets. You’ll also be given management training to help you make the transition into senior roles.

Want to expand your horizons? As a member of the Graduate Scheme you’ll have the option to move to another department or area of the Reed Group. Typical roles available on rotation include positions in areas such as: Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, and range of Project roles to meet the strategic business growth needs. Alternatively you may choose to move to an operational role such as a Sales Executive at Reed.co.uk or Recruitment Consultant within Reed.

Opportunities beyond Year One may arise in any of our offices up and down the country, this means there may be a requirement to relocate.

Person Specification

Essential Attainments:

• 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or above (any subject)

Essential Criteria:

Desirable Criteria:

• Geographical flexibility – location preferences will always be accounted for when arranging placements; rotation opportunities are frequently based in London or Northampton where our Head Offices are located. What is the role about?

The Business Manager is responsible for leading and motivating a team of rapid response employment advisers across multiple sites to support caseloads of jobseekers into employment.

Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include

• Implementing strategies aimed at upskilling your local community members and overcoming barriers to employment
• Performance management, identifying skills gaps, mentoring and coaching staff
• Adherence to Key performance indicators
• Maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Managing Profit and Loss reports and monthly financial forecasting

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with

• Experience in sales management and delivery output
• Track record of working and achieving targets (at least 1 year experience)
• Experience in people management including training and coaching
• Strong administration and IT skills
• Assertiveness, Resilience and good Decision making skills
• A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma in combination with GCSE English Language Grade B or above (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). If you do not possess this level of qualification you will be required to achieve a Level 2 in a Literacy Assessment conducted at interview stage.

Desirable Qualifications

• Interest in people and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of welfare/benefits system.
• Degree or relevant qualification. Degree topics may include; psychology, sociology, social care/science. Relevant qualifications would include Information Advice and Guidance NVQs, Brokerage Standard, Social Work qualifications or qualifications relating to welfare to work.
