Job Scope

• Candidate needs to be knowledgeable in data analysis and interested in operations management, document management and virtual knowledge-space construction. Candidates with a working knowledge of the biopharma environment are preferred.
• Responsible for the use of data science methods in the management of departmental resources including physical inventory, the purchasing and tracking of lab materials, and other consumables
• Helps with providing data set to help management make operational, administrative and HR decisions such as the data visualization, retrieval and the tracking of training records.
• Serves as the liaison between Quality, and EHS department and various production groups, responsible for departmental document management and distribution; responsible for departmental safety and quality inspections and gathering feedback
• Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor related to the smooth running of the department

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Cell biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedicine and other related majors
• Good experimental habits, ability to process and analyze data and solve problems, and strong execution skills
• Proficiency in operating MS Office suite software
• Knowledge of quality as it pertains to a manufacturing setting
• Mastery of the relevant rules and regulations involved in the position

Key Responsibilities

• Synthesize the targeted Gene required by the customer
• To perform a series of experimental procedures such as PCR, Ligation Transformation, Bacterial Inspection, Plasmid Construction, Quality Inspection and etc. Perform data record analysis, result evaluation and etc
• Ensure that safety production management regulations and product production SOP requirements are followed strictly. Operate experiments independently which include: Gene Synthesis, Vector Construction, Gene Mutation, Plasmid Extraction, Sequence Analysis, Sequencing, PCR & qPCR, Reagent Preparation, Quality Inspection and etc
• Problem identified in production process should be reported in a timely manner and actively solve the issues with team
• Make sure the handover of the experiment on the day properly and do simply analysis of the problem is made of the unfinished experiment
• To complete other tasks assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Equivalent
• Solid foundation in Molecular Biology and Cell Biology; strong background in experimental operation; familiar with Conventional techniques of genetic engineering, such as Isolation and Manipulation of DNA (i.e: Primer Design, Plasmid Design, PCR, Restriction Digestion, Homologous Recombination, CRISPR/Cas9 Gene Editing, Transformation, Plasmid Isolation, Sequence Analysis and etc.) is preferred
• Strong sense of achievement; resilient and able to perform under pressure
• Team player with good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Working knowledge of document reading and writing skills

Project Officer (Intern) – 1 X Place of Work : North Buona Vista Drive

As a Project Officer (Intern) with the Academic Research Division, you will provide assistance to the division in supporting research at the Institutes of Higher Learning.

Your key responsibilities include providing support in:

Research engagements, such as workshops, webinars, etc. Including collation and circulation of materials, liaising with vendors and stakeholders, minute-taking.

• Desktop research, particularly for the Science of Learning programme/ funding initiative.
• Preparation of presentation materials and reports and other supporting tasks as required.
• Requirements
• A service-oriented individual with good communication, writing and interpersonal skills
• Meticulous, has initiative and able to work well under pressure
• Background in education/ neuroscience/ cognitive sciences/ psychology and interest in research preferred.
• Monday – Friday: 9am – 6pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• 40hours/week (<40 hours/week can also be considered)
• Service not required on weekends and gazetted public holidays

Key Responsibilities:

Research Intern (Protein Expression)

• Responsible for the resuscitation, passage, transfection, culture and other experiments of mammalian cells such as HEK293 and CHO
• Responsible for data analysis and processing of cell cultureexperiments, and complete the preparation of experimental records and reports
• Participate in multiple R&D projects as part of the field project team
• Responsible for the formulation and update of SOP, summarising and solidifying work experience
• Managing instruments, and be able to carry out maintenance as required
• Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Research Intern (Protein Purification)

• Responsible for purification of mammalian recombinant antibody and protein by affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography, size exclusion chromatography and other methods, and able to formulate appropriate purification scheme according to order requirements
• Responsible for filling in and rechecking records related to the purification experiment
• Participate in multiple R & D projects as part of the field project team
• Responsible for the formulation and update of SOP,summarising and solidifying work experience
• Managing instruments, and being able to carry out maintenance as required
• Complete other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent
• Familiar with the experimental operation of SDS-PAGE, Western blot, LC-MS, HPLC and other protein detection
• Good trouble shooting skills
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good team working skills

Commitment Period: Full-time, 5 months and above
