What you'll bring to the team
A job with Merlin isn’t like a job anywhere else. With attractions around the world, from rollercoasters to wax figures, we don’t trade in suits, handshakes or briefcases. We trade in fun. In smiles, shrieks and spine-tingles. In Memories. In magic. But there are no tricks behind our magic. Instead, there are people like you. Passionate, dedicated people who are committed to making sure our worldwide attractions and guests’ experiences are the best they can be.
Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Regional Revenue Manager to join our Corporate on a permanent basis. The role will be based at Singapore office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.
The Revenue Manger is a pivotal role in shaping the future success of Merlin Entertainment in Rest Of Asia. The role will focus on the use of revenue reporting and other analysis to understand key dynamics in the booking and pricing cycle and follow up with recommendations for change that will support gateway sites in achieving revenue targets and strategic growth. Candidate must have an intermediate understanding of revenue management (e.g. they have previous RM experience in Travel & Leisure, Airline, hotels, cruise. Etc)
The role will also be collaborating with key stakeholders (Trade, Ecommerce, T&M & Operations) to formulate revenue optimization strategies for each attraction in Rest of Asia. This involves maintaining a balance between volume and revenue per customer (RPC), while meeting guest KPIs.
As a key member of the team, the Revenue Manager supports the APAC Head of Revenue management by identifying growth opportunities and recommendations. They play a pivotal role in providing both comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analyses to derive valuable insights to support revenue growth, facilitating both tactical and strategic decision-making across the RoA Gateways.
Qualifications & Experience
- BS/BA in a relevant field or related discipline (Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, etc.)
- Proven years of experience working in business analytics in a revenue management setup (Travel & Leisure, Airline, hotels, cruise. etc)
- Have strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to derive business solutions based on sound analysis
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (commercial, marketing, trade, sales) using Agile ways of working
- Proven experience in dealing with high volumes of data with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to present complex Business Intelligence to all levels in the organization
- Experience with Data Visualization tools (Power BI ideally, will consider others)
- Advanced MS Office skills, in particular Excel & PowerPoint
- Demonstrate proactive attitude, with both the ability and confidence to work independently, whilst having the initiative to know when to escalate as appropriate.
