Overview: A Shipping Executive is responsible for coordinating and managing the shipping process to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role involves working closely with carriers, preparing shipping documentation, and overseeing logistics to meet customer requirements.

Duties & key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end shipping process, including transportation, customs clearance, and delivery.
• Work closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth and  cost-effective operations.
• Prepare shipping documents such as invoices and packing list.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, prepare monthly report for LMW regulation.
• Provide shipping updates to customers.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns.
• Work with warehouse teams to manage stock levels.
• Coordinate shipments based on demand and inventory.
• Monitor shipping costs and seek cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in managing the shipping budget.
• Any other duties assigned by the management as and when required.

 

Qualifications:

• Prefer Mandarin speaker.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping or logistics is preferred. 
• Basic understanding of shipping regulations.
• FRESH GRADUATE candidates are encouraged to apply.

This role is varied and ever changing depending on the requirements of the day, however ultimately you will be responsible for forklift operations; assisting in setting up all aspects of the machinery in a timely and accurate manner; prepare tooling/materials for the next order to facilitate a quick change-over; keep the work area clean; machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance; perform in-process quality checks; stack bundles; forklift operation and license, and provide general support to the Site Manager to ensure smooth day to day operations of the site. Saturday and Sunday work may also be required to unload long haul freight trucks and organise the shed and stock.

Responsibilities:

To maintain/service existing customer account, coordinating daily orders/delivery & export shipment, daily operation of Marketing Department. Responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring overall supply chain strategy and in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. • Drive heavy vehicle to transport waste paper and other recyclable materials according to assigned schedule.
• Use forklift on site to load / unload casings or bins. Only drivers possess valid forklift licence are allowed to operate the equipment.
• First parade task to be carried out before and at least 15 minutes prior to going out on detail such as check water level in radiator, engine oil level, electrolyte level in battery, fuel level in tank, horn, wipers & light etc.
• Secure load with canvas during the trip. Do not pile too high or allow spill over at the sides or at the rear of vehicle. Ensure vehicle is balanced with no shifting or surging of loads.
• Report faulty equipment to Deployment Officer for necessary action.
• Driver must always comply with the speed limits of the road. Speed limiter, Global Positioning System (GPS) devices installed must not be tempered with.
• Maintain contact with Deployment Supervisor or to report disruption of service.
• For confidential documents, driver must follow authorized routes. Otherwise, he must seek clearance from Deployment Officer during the trip.
• Last parade task to be carried out after final assignment such as top up fuel tank, check water level, engine oil level, switch off all the lights and remove ignition key, record mileage, release air from the air reservoir etc.
• When involved in a traffic accident, do not admit liability. Seek advice from Deployment Officer.
• If anyone is injured or if the accident is serious, do not move the vehicle without permission from the Police.
• Perform other related duties as directed by Deployment Officer / Logistics Manager.

Job Requirements :
• Valid Class 4 license is required
• Familiar with Singapore roads
• Physical fit
