The technician responds to customer callouts, providing technical service and maintenance support at customer locations. They are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment out in the field and providing technical training when necessary. The technician will report to Technical Manager.

Job Description

• Troubleshoot and carry out minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, builder, etc) for the building and related facilities.
• Supervise sub-contractors who carry out approved repair works and scheduled maintenance in the building.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to execute preventive maintenance regime and/or ad-hoc upgrading project and monitor the work progress.
• Assist Facilities Executive & officer to attend to tenant’s feedback on the building and related facilities.
• Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff when required.

Job Descriptions

• Handle all maintenance, repair and upgrading of our building amenities and facilities including power distribution systems, ACMV, fire protection systems, plumbing and sanitary and compressed air systems etc.

Job Requirements

We are seeking an MRI-trained technician to be a part of our specialist and emergency hospital for animals. We are one of only two veterinary hospitals to have a 1.5T high field MRI in the country.

We are a friendly team, with a strong focus on teamwork, empathy, and respect for our colleagues. You will be working in the imaging department. Collaboration opportunities will be plenty with a team of specialist clinicians, experienced vets, and nurses to provide excellent patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to have an active role in shaping Singapore’s referral and emergency services in the vet community. Hands-on training to work with animals will be provided. You will be working in the imaging department and will assist with CT and ultrasounds as well.

The facility is equipped with an in-house laboratory, 2 digital radiography rooms, 3 fully equipped/state-of-the-art surgical suites, fluoroscopy, ultrasonography, ICU telemetry, 3 dog wards, a cat ward, an exotics/birds ward, rigid and flexible endoscopy, 16 slice CT with 3D recon abilities, a brand new 1.5T GE MRI.

Responsibilities:

- Set up MRI algorithms for patients

- Ensuring staff and patient safety at all times by making sure MRI safety rules are followed

- Assist our nurses with anesthesia of patients undergoing imaging and monitor these patients post GA

- Set up appropriate equipment for imaging modalities such as CT, MRI and ultrasounds

- Keep track of imaging inventory and keep up with all maintenance of machines

- Work together with other vets and nurses from other departments about inpatient cases

- Maintain good medical records including client communications

- Being able to troubleshoot any minor issues and contact the GE imaging help desk if needed

- Maintain the "flow" of the daily schedule by starting cases on time and helping with the coordination of the schedule

- Work with other departments for any patient transfers

- Ensure that the RITC policies are adhered to

- Work with the assistants to keep the prep room, recovery area, monitoring desk, and MR room clean and organized

- If there are no MRI cases, the candidate will assist with other imaging modalities.

Qualifications:

- Must be an MRI-trained. Would consider any human nurse or technician with this training

- Certified/registered Veterinary Technician diploma or degree is advantageous but not necessary

- Ability to multi-task

- Strong organizational skills

- The position will be 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

- Weekend on-calls may be required
