About the role

We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have a new opportunities for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Pilbara Services team.

The role will operate on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster with flights and accommodation provided from Perth to the Pilbara Region. 

Reporting to the Orica Asset Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitter will provide technical support and maintenance for all of Orica’s fixed and mobile plant within the Pilbara Region.

What you will be doing

. General servicing of all mobile and fixed plant and machinery;
. Schedule servicing, repairs, alterations and breakdown maintenance;
. Assist the Territory and Site Managers to manage a maintenance plan for the equipment at their site(s);
. Continually reassess risks associated with regional operation and maintenance processes taking appropriate corrective action as required;
. Providing field support for clients by performing training, reviews and maintenance support on site;
. Participate in safety programs and promote safe work practice.

What you will bring

. Trade certification in Heavy Road Transport or equivalent;
. Previous experience working on European heavy vehicles (advantageous);
. Auto electrical knowledge is advantageous;
. Strong written and verbal communication, customer relation and problem-solving skills;
. Heavy rigid (HR) vehicle license (advantageous)

You will be working for an IT service provider operating worldwide supporting our operative team in handling our international projects.

As IT Support Engineer, you will be providing 2nd line onsite technical Support to Enterprise users of desktop/laptop/PC, assisting with building and deployment of new desktop/laptop hardware, supporting mobile devices and managing tickets using the company’s chosen IT ticketing tool. You will also coordinate and communicate with the central helpdesk team.

About The Role

Our client Mark and Kaylene Walpole is a Milk Production farm business located in Yalca, Victoria. They deal with the production of cow milk and have established themselves as a producer of high quality and fresh Australian cow milk.


They now seek an experienced and skilled Agricultural Technician to join their team. This is a full time position with annual salary set between $70,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.


The Responsibilities



Perform inspectional work in compiling and calculating production and cost of production records

Receive and prepare laboratory samples for analysis, following proper protocols in order to ensure that they will be stored, prepared, and disposed of efficiently and effectively.

Operate laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, nitrogen determination apparatus, air samplers, centrifuges, and PH meters in order to perform tests.

Measure or weigh ingredients used in testing or for purposes such as animal feed.

Supervise pest or weed control operations including locating and identifying pests or weeds, selecting chemicals and application methods, scheduling application, and training operators.

Measure and mark plot areas; and plow, disc, level, and otherwise prepare land for cultivated crops

Operate farm machinery including tractors, plows, mowers, combines, balers, sprayers, earthmoving equipment, and trucks.

Perform crop production duties such as tilling, hoeing, pruning, weeding, and harvesting crops.

Devise cultural methods and environmental controls for plants for which guidelines are sketchy or non-existent.

Provide routine animal care such as taking and recording body measurements, applying identification, and assisting in the birthing process

Provide food and water to livestock and laboratory animals, and record details of their food consumption.

Record data pertaining to experimentation, research, and animal care.

Collect samples from crops or animals so testing can be performed.

Prepare data summaries, reports, and analyses that include results, charts, and graphs in order to document research findings and results.

Adjust testing equipment, and prepare culture media, following standard procedures.

Responsible for weighing, grading, sampling and testing animals and agricultural products

Carries out field duties relating to development and classification of land, lease management and project development

Perform administrative duties related to programs of limited complexity where technical knowledge of a particular agricultural area is needed.





The Requirements:



To be considered for the position you must meet the following requirements:



A?Diploma degree in agricultural and/or animal husbandry related qualification is required

At least 3 years of equivalent skilled experience

At least 3 years prior experience working with both livestock and horticultural crops in a commercial capacity

Be physically fit and healthy

Good communication skills

Demonstrated organization skills

Ability to work in a team and can take direction

Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously

Proven track record of reliability- references required

Demonstrated knowledge of the best safe work practices
